    In my head I accept the logic of the projection systems that say that we are probably going to be in our fourth straight NLCS in two months. But when you watch a team play bad baseball for a month, it’s hard not to get down on them.

    But fangraphs...or whatever random website says we’re 90% in the playoffs or something. There is a flaw in the projection systems that doesn’t seem to be picking up on that without Bryant and Darvish and with Rizzo kinda meh and with Lester, Hendricks and Quintana varying degrees of bad, this is actually a bad baseball team.

    I must have missed this "favorable situation" that the Cubs found themselves in back in 2011. Javier Baez, Brett Jackson *and* Matt Szczur were all top-100 prospects.

    OK, one more Brewersfan fun quote: They have this mass blind spot where they can see the bad contracts and the farm system ranking but can't see the giant mass of young position players already on the MLB roster better than anything they have.

    Very little. People clear waivers way easier than everyone assumes, for whatever reason. Blocking unless you really intend on making a trade seems to be pretty rare, it's an unwritten agreement.

    Honestly, I forgot about the homophobia, I just still hate him for hitting a million 335 foot pop-fly home runs during the 2015 NLCS. But now it turns out I have a real reason to hate him, too.
