  1. He's completely answered my complaints from earlier in the season. He's throwing balls decisively and on-time. Earlier in the season he had this weird habit of shifting himself toward the pressure, but I haven't seen him do that in a month. If I really wanted to nitpick, his accuracy is still kinda meh. It's usually good enough and he'll throw some perfect ones, but there's better QBs out there at placing the ball. But get him a real OL and WR group and the sky's the limit.
  2. I'm really not impressed with our tackles. The pass-blocking improved noticeably without Borom, and Jones gets beat for at least one sack every single game. "Not terrible for a 7th-round pick" is not what I want out of my left tackle, it's not a position you should be going store brand. Whitehair is fine and I do like Jenkins as a guard. I'd be fine adding three new pieces this offseason.
  3. the offense almost doesnt need to be upgraded at this point. maybe accented, better interior OL perhaps, more time developing Fields/Mooney/Claypool/Kmet Get thee behind me Satan. We're tripling down. If this is what Fields can do with this ragamuffin band, imagine what he's going to do with multiple elite receivers and the best OL in the league.
  4. I hope we pick outside the top 10
  5. It will be a massive failure by Poles and co. if they don't add 1-2 more above replacement level WR's this offseason. It won't be easy. There's just stone cold nothing on the FA market. That's why we paid through the nose for Claypool.
  6. I know the popular thing is to compare every early QB struggles to Allen, but the Hurts track Y1-2-3 is totally doable, and that doesn't have to be a ceiling (as Fields is naturally more talented than Hurts in most ways I'd say). I'm a known idiot so I'm not going to make predictions. But if Fields plays here on out the way he has the last few weeks, they can 100% be a championship contending team next season. He outperformed Tua today with a fraction of the weapons.
  7. I can't even imagine what it's going to look like next year if Fields can play like this but also has a competent offensive line and maybe (if I'm being greedy) another real NFL receiver or two. He's still got some flaws as a passer, but he's perfectly cromulent and when teams are forced to account for his running, there will be plenty of windows to pass into.
  8. Better team? I think so.
  9. If you *just* look at the last 2-3 games, I agree you can make a case that Fields is playing like a top-10 QB.
  10. The unbelievable no-call is overshadowing the also infuriating drop where Fields hit ESB dead in the hands for the fourth down conversion.
  11. I'm getting a lot less trash thrown at me these days for saying you shouldn't need year 3+ to evaluate fields, because great ones almost always look great by the end of their second season. Setting the QB rushing record is neat. But doing it while throwing for 3 TDs with no turnovers? *Homer Simpson drooling sound*
  12. 19 times out of 20, I think ref complaints are overblown, but that might be the worst I have ever seen. Better team had the win stolen from them
  13. Fields will singlehandedly drag us out of the top 10 in the draft by the end of the season playing like this
  14. I said when we were losing to them week 2 that they sure didn't look like a playoff team to me
  15. It’s also got to be difficult knowing that there will not be a pass rush at all for the rest of the season. I think we just have to judge the DBs based on their prior performance when there was at least some semblance of a pass rush. They were ok but not that special before too. There's just a lot of bad passing teams in the NFC and on our schedule so far
  16. This aged poorly Nope this is exactly what I wanted from this season. I hope we lose every game 60-52 and brisker and Gordon bust so hard we never pick a defensive player again
  17. I already said I loved it. When you've made the sale, stop selling.
  18. This is very fun and I like it a lot.
  19. I am pretty hype. This is exactly what I asked for.
  20. Hockey, but a very very very long way from the NHL. After a few months of planning and gathering gear, I dragged my 40-year-old out-of-shape carcass to a friendly hockey pickup and played goalie for the first time. Watching hockey, playing it as a skater, I never realized goalies are the hardest working people on the ice. Moving side to side on that posture, going down and getting back up constantly, kills your legs in a way a 50-second skating shift never does.
  21. Yes please. Give me all of this
  22. I don't *love* the idea of trading picks for players pretty much ever, but I think in this case it had to be done. The WR FA class sucks and it was criminal to go with this WR group for half a season, let alone two. Weakening the defense is just a bonus.
  23. Yeah. I'm fine with committing hard to the tank and piling up draft picks. It's the thing you do in sports these days. But I have no idea how they're going to find useful ways to spend all that cap space. It's way past the point of diminishing return in the short run.
  24. Yesterday represented the first time in his career that Fields had multiple TD (passing+rushing) with zero turnovers.
