    If you want to make that comp then you're saying Ballesteros has the same physical ability as Kirk? Kirk is a good athlete despite his obesity, Ballesteros is not. The Cubs din't let Ballesteros catch one pitch when he was up with the team. That says a lot about his current catching abilty.

    Just saw a recent picture of Ballesteros, not good. He's looking like he's on the Daniel Vogelbach path. We'll see. Untill he loses weight he's a limited prospect in my eyes.

    I thought Wiggins was going today, oh well. Hoping he'd go past three innings, but OK. To finish the year my ideal scenario would be for him to go 5-innings in his next start then finish the season with two good starts in Iowa. We'll see how it plays out.

    Tomorrow he pitches off a mound. We should get an idea of his return after that.

    The video had two Ks. The 2nd one looked a 99mph 4-seamer. The first one was something different. He has a good slider and changeup, but that first K kinda looked like curveball.

    The Cubs give good updates on injured players. If his shoulders is OK, he'll be back in a few weeks and ready for the playoffs.

    Sanders with a rough game for Iowa. I was hoping he'd be better in AAA, but he's do well. He's on a good track. For some reason I think he's older, but he's only 23. He was a 4th round pick in 2023, Wiggins was the 2nd round pick... 2023 is looking like a nice draft for the Cubs.

    A July 2026 starting rotation of 1: Imanaga, 2: Horton, 3: Boyd, 4: Steele and 5: Wiggins would be somethin'.

    It just doesn't make sense this year; @Jason Ross broke it down pretty good. Also, he's never been a reliever for the Cubs. I remember him coming in one game for MB, but they used LHRP Chase Watkins as opener, for some reason, and I think Wiggins came in the 3rd inning. If I remember correctly he wasn't very good that game. I'd put him on the Horton path. If he can stack 4-8 good starts next year in Iowa, he'll be starting early next year for Chicago.

    Excellent. Projected to start next Saturady, probably looking for five innings... Wondering, if he continues to excell in Tennessee, he ends the season in Iowa.

    Me too. I didn't see how he could hit in profesonal baseball. Well, so far so good- love to eat crow here. He's quickly become one of my favorite players to root for. We'll see what he does in MB. The one caveat to Kepley success is the Carolina League is a crazy hitters league this year. MB will a considerably tougher challenge for him.

    I missed this. I saw your news on Wiggins and blurred over this. I like Rodriguez. He has the size, stuff, athletic build and overall look of a MLB pitcher.

    Noland is tough for me to judge. It's just so difficult in the majors with a 91 mph fastball. Hodge is having a nice August: 10IP, 7H, 7BB, 17K, 0.00 ERA... Too many walks, but it would be nice to see him reestablish himself by the end of the season.

    They' look like the 8-9 inning guys. Like you said matchups will probably determine the order.

    That would work too. I like Long and Alcantara to give Happ and PCA a couple days off.

    Heck with it. Put him on the 10-day DL and let Long or Alcantara get some time with the Cubs. This way the rest of the OF can get some days off, too.

    They probqbly want to go Braiser, Keller & Palencia for 7-9. Tomorrow would be a very limited pen.
