    novoa seems to do well against the cards. had a good game at busch, with a big hit (2b or 3b, cant remember) and decent on the mound. this was the game where rolen had at least 1 huge error. didnt he get the W last niight and only face 1 batter?

    Nope, played SS and switched to 2B in the 9th (even though Walker's D probably was the reason they won). ok. actually i did see SC highlights later, great day for walker. i was just confused as to win neifi took over.

    reds gm: b harris is a younger rich aurilia, or a slower ryan freel, versatile. clayton brings a veteran presence, but plays with energy. this could've been jim hendry talking.

    reds gm will be on 'the show' xm 175 in a few minutes. 2 guest hosts (kennedy and ?) think the deal looks a little unbalanced, so they may actually ask some pressing quesions.

    First: the stats in the original posts aren't necessarily indicative of a good manager. Second: (and maybe this is what you meant, obp is pretty interesting. Girardi has coaxed a similar/better hitting team out of less talent. And a lot less experienced hitters. I'll give you less experienced, although Girardi really didn't have a choice. Less talent is questionable. I'll take the Cabrera at 3B, Hanley Ramirez at SS and Uggla/Walker is close at 2B. Hermida in RF, and Willingham in LF. That's 4 or 5 of 8 position players where I'd rather have Marlins. And that's right now, not future. That's pretty depressing when you think of it. i know. if both teams were going to be able to spend the same amount in the FA market this offseason, would it even be close next year? it might not even be close anyway. :x

    if you want to evaluate the trade, give the contract info on haren and calero. we all know mulder is a FA after this year.

    Can we stop the all caps please. Completely unnecessary. i find it funny that all caps can be that annoying. its as if it hurts your eyes the way yelling does your ears.
