  1. Link It appears that Percival is calling it a career. I guess it is a good thing we didn't sign him last year.
  2. Aww man, Cards fans are gonna skew the poll! FIRST THE IQ NORMALIZATION PROCESS AND NOW THIS :lmao:
  3. I'd still rather trade for Vidro than Soriano.
  4. Oh, thanks for clarifying that it was "people." I thought it might have been something else. I was thinking the same thing.
  5. I agree. I don't mind the continuing of the tradition of singing the 7th inning stretch, but I prefer when it's done by former Cubs or at least famous Cub fans ( I'd like to see Bill Murray there), but not some of the other goofballs they've had up there.
  6. Yes, but that part of the article is a little misleading. The Expos moved him around from catcher to thirdbase all during his time in the big leagues. In 1998, Barrett played 3 games at C and 3 at 3b for the Expos. In 1999, Barrett played 59 games at C, 66 at 3b, and 2 at SS. In 2000, Barrett played 28 games at C, and 55 at 3b. In 2001, Barrett played 131 games at catcher. This was the first season that he was used exclusively as a catcher. So, in reality he's only been a fulltime catcher for 4 years. When looking at his games played by position, Barrett moves back and forth from catcher to thridbase from 1998 to 2000 and doesn't become a fulltime catcher exclusively until 2001.
  7. Link. Articles like these just get me ready for the season. I'm ready for baseball!!
  8. More good news from ST. Link Wood felt so good, he threw from a mound again on Saturday and Prior is expected to throw from a mound again today.
  9. What about my team? C Michael Barrett 1b Adam Dunn 2b Richie Weeks SS JJ Hardy 3b Hank Blalock OF Brad Wilkerson OF Coco Crisp OF Matt Holliday Util Wily Mo Pena SP Jake Peavy SP Ben Sheets RP Frankie Rodriquez RP BJ Ryan P Jason Schmidt P Javier Vasquez P Mike Gonzalez BN Jeremy Hermidia BN Erik Bedard
  10. This could be bad or good. If Miller is healthy, he'll be good. He has a pretty good track record when healthy.
  11. I'll watch the games as well. I'm glad Lee and Barrett are playing, but I'm equally glad that Ramirez isn't.
  12. Bruce Miles has a nice article out today on Murton. Link While Baker speaks complimentary of Murton in the article, this quote has me nervous. I'm worried that if Murton starts slowly, Baker could insert Mabry or Grissom in left.
  13. Upton's future is in the OF, probably Center. not if the rays are smart so yes, it's in the of They were talking about Justin Upton. I think BJ is going to stay at SS. But the DBacks are talking about switching Justin to CF right away to get him to the majors faster. Though my guess would be that they let him stick at short for this season to play his way into or out of the position. Why would the Dbacks want to move Upton to CF when they also have Young to play there?
  14. Just walk up to the game. At the hotel a block away(can't remember the chain), there were plenty of guys with tickets for the Neifi GS game, and that was a Sunday Night game. We got 2 really good seats for only a couple bucks over face value(face value was 42 each I think, we paid 90 for 2). And that was over an hour and a half before first pitch. Thanks. I'll try to get them online, but if I'm unable, I'll try that. Since I'm flying up for those games, I would like to have tickets in hand as a peace of mind sort of thing.
  15. Link I didn't see this posted anywhere, so I thought it could be a sign of good news. The past couple of springs we haven't had much, and this looked good to me.
  16. I'm going to have to go through the same hoopla as well as I need tickets to the Cubs-Cards games April 21-23 in St. Louis.
  17. I heard an interview on XM 175. Bagwell did report. He apparently shook hands with McLain. There's supposedly a press conference later today. Bagwell says he can still hit and did try to throw the ball. Apparently Ausmus and Biggio made fun of him and said he looked like he was throwing a shot put. Bagwell says the shoulder still bothers him when he throws but believes it is better than it was a year ago.
  18. Once again, for anyone completely shut out, I inadvertantly purchased 6 bleacher seats for June 26. It's a Monday night against the Brewers. Anyone interested, pm me.
  19. I've gotten the emails of my earlier purchases, but not my most recent ones.
  20. How the hell have I been sitting here since 10 am and you log out, and log back in and get tickets. AMAZING If you want bleachers to 6/26, pm me.
  21. Great! Got through and got the bleacher seats I needed for 6/27. I still have bleacher seats for 6/26 and won't be arriving in Chicago until the 27th. If anyone wants them, pm me. I'm not scalping them...just want what I put into them.
  22. Stupid Vance! Earlier, I thought I was buying tickets to the 6/27 Milwaukee game and I bought for the 6/26. So now, I'm back trying to get through. Also, I have 6 "print at home" bleacher seats to the 6/26. If anyone wants them, pm me.
  23. What games were you focusing on Beerhere?
