  1. Even as we lament the spring performance of Rusch and Williams, at least things haven't gotten this bad. Link
  2. Wellemeyer leaves one over the middle of the plate and Devanon crushes it for a ground rule double.
  3. In 2004, the two seemed very close. When Guzman was at Fitch pitching in minor league games, it was not uncommon for Zambrano to be sitting in the stands watching him.
  4. Well like somone said the line didnt look to good, but he was throwing some good stuff. I think Guzman is ahead of him for the 5th starter. His curve and change were filthy. His fastball looked straight. The times he worked it down in the zone, he did well. He gave up some ropes on fastballs that he left up in the zone. I'd take Guzman or Marshall ahead of him as fifth starter, but I'd also have no qualms about using him out of the pen. so, are you in az? Watching the game on the tube. No, I'm in Louisiana. Had some great boiled crawfish last night. :) how do you have it on tv? i miss louisiana. glad i did move away from n.o. before katrina though. MLBTV. $14.95 a month. Wife left her Discover card lying around this morning.

Had some great boiled crawfish last night. :) I bet you suck the heads don't you Vance. Am I weird b/c I'm from LA and don't really care for crawfish? I have sucked the heads, but not usually. I like them, but I prefer crawfish dishes to eating hot boiled ones. I think I'm going out for shrimp tonight though.
  6. Lesson for Wuertz: Spinning change-ups waist high right across the heart of the plate will get hit really, really hard.

  9. I can't believe he caught it. Not only did he dive, he had to dive to his right and backwards at the same time. He made an amazing catch. Web gem for sure.
  10. Byrnes leaves his feet an makes a catch on a ball that I was sure was a double.
  11. Ryu's line won't be pretty, but he has thrown some filthy breaking balls. His change-up looks good. I don't think he should be the fifth starter, but with the break on his pitches, he might be a nice addition to the bullpen.
  12. What sort of bee problem was it? It appeared they were swarming at the edge of the dugout and then got into the dugout causing most of the players to evacuate.
  13. Going into that AB, Ramirez was hitting 605 this spring.
  14. Counsell grounds out 3-1. Side retired. Ryu's pitches look better than his line does. His curve has a great break.
  15. That was a hit and run. The runner was moving on the pitch.
  16. Ramirez left his feet in a dive and the ball went under the glove.
  17. Walker lines out to CF. I'm not very satisfied with MLB.TV. It keeps freezing up.
