  1. Is the most recent update still that he will have another simulated game and then a minor league start or two, bring ing hm back April 30 or first week of may? Right now that appears to be the plan.
  2. how much of his salary do we have to pay? All of it if no one claims him. A pro-rated portion if someone claims him.
  3. When Wood comes back, either Williams or Rusch should be bumped to the pen. Someone will have to be sent down, and Wuertz has options. It will be he.
  4. In truth, if Rusch isn't stating, he's not worth much to us. We have enough arms in the pen and even more if needed at Iowa. If the Cubs decide Rusch is no longer good enough to start, I'd DFA him and hope someone claims him off waivers.
  5. With the way he's pitched, Wuertz could find himself back in Iowa when a spot for Wood or Prior is needed. And wow...that splitter/forkball of Williams is awesome!
  6. Yes he is. 11 so far and he's retired no one.
  7. Wilson is really working over Marshall. I hope he isn't tiring.
  8. People might have gone for cover with the rain coming down. Maybe. If I had those seats, a little rain would not run me away.
  9. I think if the Cubs put Rusch on waivers, there's enough teams in need of pitching that someone would claim him.
  10. Look at all those great seats empty right behind homeplate.
  11. He was released this year after spring training by the Red Sox.
  12. 77 pitches for Santos through four. One more inning and I bet he's done.
  13. Wow...Marshall makes it look very easy. Me likey!
  14. One thing I've noticed is if Santos gets you 0-2, he doesn't throw the next one anywhere near the plate.
  15. As he was crossing first, he was falling and flailing away and elbowed Casey in the back.
  16. Sportsline is saying infield single, but if he doesn't bounce the throw, he would have had the out....I'd say E-4.
