  1. That's a great list, but really http://www.newbergreport.com should be there for the Texas Rangers board. What's the name of that really good brewer board? It's not on there either. EDIT: I should probably read this thread, it's brewerfan.net I was just about to answer you, and you got it before I could.
  2. That's a great list, but really http://www.newbergreport.com should be there for the Texas Rangers board.
  3. Ponson has a good line today. I still can't believe Griffey wasn't healthy enough to go considering his history against Ponson.
  4. It's bush league...no pun intended.. really A team like the reds, especially, are above this It would have been better if the pun was intended! :smokin:
  5. I have no problem with the concept at all. But I do think they should start to provide lap dances to patrons seated in the club level.
  6. griffey and hatteberg are the only ones with many ABs, though. http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/battervspitcher/CIN/04150 after a decent first outing, you know he's due to stink. its warm today, with a 100% chance of disgusting sweaty fat guy on mound. True that Griffey and Picking Machine are the only onse with a lot of AB's, but they have owned him. Griffey is hitting 545/583/1545 against him! Hatteberg is hitting 500/600/813 against him. But even the guys with limited AB's have had success. Lopez is 3/7 against him; and Dunn, Aurilla and Phillips are 1/3. I'm predicting Dunn to homer off of him at least once and the Reds to score 5-6 runs off of him. I'd love to be in new Busch to send a nice text message to that new scoreboard!
  7. It looks like Backe is out for at least six weeks, and he could be lost for the season. Link. But this quote from Pupura is more telling. The Astros could be in trouble. They got off to a decent start, but were able to play their first six against Flordia and Washington which might be two of the worst teams in the NL. The rotation is now Oswalt, Pettitte, Wandy Rodriquez, Taylor Bucholtz and Ezequiel Astacio. That back-end just doesn't inspire fear in anyone. I don't think the Astros offense is good enough to compensate for that rotation. Pettitte and Oswalt should be fine, but the Astros are going to struggle to stay at .500 unless Clemens rides in on the white horse to save them.
  8. Marlins owner Jeffery Loria calls the Willis trade rumors "ridiculous." Link And a last word on it... My guess is that neither is moved this season unless the Marlins are overwhelmed with an offer.
  9. Go look at how the Reds hitters have fared against Ponson. It's great. The Fat Drunk is going to be lit up more than he was on that Aruban beach.
  10. I think it all depends. I know that Sheets made both of his rehab starts for the Brewers with farm teams that were on the road. The first was in Jackson, Mississippi on the road for the AA team. The second was in Iowa on the road for the Brewers AAA team. I think it depends on the team and the situation. Wood should be through with his rehab by then, but there is a chance you could see Prior or Miller. Maybe you'll get a chance to see Rusch by then as well. :)
  11. I don't care what he shot into his rear (and whether steroids or not...something likely was shot there), I'm just enjoying this decline. Let's hope it continues.
  12. I think you have an excellent writer for the recaps. :)
  13. :lmao: With the way things are going with Izzy, they may have to trade him for Jose Valverde.
  14. It could happen.
  15. I found this idea rather interesting.
  16. Jayson Stark on Liriano. Link
  17. Jayson Stark writes an article where he says Clemens will be the greatest mid-season free agent in sports history. Link. (Insider Only) The more news that comes out, it seems the hometown factor of Houston matters less and less. Even more interesting is the price it will cost to get him for those 2 1/2 to 3 months.
  18. Cubs win, Cardinals lose. Great night everyone.
  19. Win is fun; let's do it again. Please don't suck, Jerome.
  20. I'm going with Griffey against Ponson since Griffey has hit over .500 off the Fat Drunk. Hopefully Griffey's knee lets him back into the line-up tomorrow.
  21. Utley gets me back to three. Off to select my pick for tomorrow.
