I am willing to wager that if given equal playing time Jones will be a better hitter than Pagan. Not that it gives me goosebumps to see Jones playing. It's not hard to be a better hitter than Pagan.

Maybe they'll make him a starter. -
Something will need to happen with Jones by the time Ward gets healthy. When Ward is ready to return from the DL, the Cubs will have a decision to make. One possibility would be to return Pie to AAA. From everything we've heard, this is not going to happen. The second possibility is to go back to an 11-man pitching staff. Ward could return and we send down a pitcher. A third possibility is to send Murton or Pagan back. The fourth is to move Jones. I think the fourth option is most desirable.

Don't get your hopes up. I just want them to get back to .500. I'm not getting excited until they do.

Bingo. no one makes any money on it and Bonds doesn't get to own it either. Vance and I are on the same page. It would take alot for me not to throw it back though. A whole lot. I might ask for a life-time membership to the HOF with seats to each induction in exchange, but that would be all.

He's already advanced to AA where he has a 295/405/560 line thus far. There's few hitters in the minors that I like as much as Longoria.

NSBB: picking player X would be absurd, especially if player Y and Z are available. Bud Selig: Oakland A's select player X. NSBB: *crickets* pause..... NSBB: how could the Cubs pass on players Y and Z. they're so stupid. pause.... NSBB: Billy Beane is such a genius. Or you could have checked the reaction in the draft thread. ... Why should he do that when ignoring the facts so clearly supports his agenda much better?
