  1. I already have Premium..... For those who already have premium, I'll offer a randomly selected autographed Cubs baseball card. well I already gave you my vote before the offers came in......looks like I should wait it out next round ;) Well, it benefits me to win multiple rounds. I win one round, 2 people get premium, two rounds- four people...so forth.

  3. I never pass up the opportunity to attend a game....but that's just me.
  4. Correct. Dunn's option is voided if he's traded. The Reds if they don't trade him now will either have to keep him for 2008 or get nothing when they decline the option. Would I want Dunn? Hell yeah. Of course, he only fits if Soriano will shift to right. Whether or not that's possible I don't know. Assuming Soriano would move, it would greatly improve the Cubs offense. Also, with Pie and CF, he should be able to cover enough ground to make up for any of Dunn's deficiencies in the OF. The Cubs could build an offer around some minor league arms and other parts. If the Cubs acquired Dunn, here is a possible line-up. RF Soriano CF Pie 3b Ramirez LF Dunn 1b Lee 2b DeRosa C Barrett SS Izturis/Theriot I'd attempt to get the Reds to take Eyre or Jones in the deal to help offset the addition of Dunn's salary. Then, I might build a package around Veal or other similar prospect.
  5. I want to thank all those who voted for me. For those who didn't, I hope you all rot in hell! Seriously, for each round I win I will randomly buy premium for two non-premium users in a raffle approach. I'll announce details later.
  6. I'm withholding a vote here. Like Roast, I share a love for Sammy, but I hate Tupac. I'll vote later....
  7. Probably the worst post I've read here in a while and that's saying a lot. other than "contending" what has cuban done? he makes a fool of himself publicly by running his ignorant mouth. no owner in all of professional sports is despised more by his peers than he is. he accrues more league fines than anyone else...oh yeah, his teams perennially disappoint. in fact, two of the biggest choke jobs in sports history (outside ny v. bos) have come at the hands of teams in his control in the last two years. the only thing good about mark cuban is watching that stupid look on his face as the teams he puts together gag in the clutch. if he didn't baby his players and let someone who knew a thing or two about run the team (without his constant moronic interjection), maybe they'd get their act together. cuban would bring us a world of attention, and he'd spend the money to keep us in the mix, but the guy's a jinx and we already got one of those working against us, we don't need another. We shouldn't want Cuban because he's a jinx? I like how your first post criticizes the Mavericks, even though they had the best record in the NBA this year. Laughable logic. and the most disappointing playoff exit in nba history, but i guess that doesn't matter either right? we are talking about winning championships here correct? i mean cuban's winning those all the time right? oh that's right he's never won sh*t other than a spot behind the counter at a dairy queen. cuban doesn't win championships, plain and simple. you can lump that in with the fact that the mlb owners want nothing to do with him because of what a thorn in the side he is for nba owners. no chance he gets the cubs, nor should any real sports fan want him. he's the daniel snyder of the nba With the way baseball's playoffs are structured, I'll take him turning the Cubs into an annual playoff team and take my chances in the postseason. Cuban's teams have performed a lot better than Snyder's, but thanks for the hyperbole. It was nice.
  8. He played in the SEC. It's nothing new to him.
  9. I hope he catches the clap and then gives it to Jim Wolf the next time they do what it's obvious they do.
  10. Koyie Hill will catch Zambrano tonight. Link.
  11. If he don't come up with more money...... I ain't gonna vote for him either !!! If you don't vote for me, I ain't helping to load your [expletive] sleigh this Christmas Eve either!
  12. You definitely just lost yourself a vote. someone seems a bit thin-skinned. "" Relax, meat. I was not being serious. I was. I ain't voting for your ass Vance. I'm crying....I really am. :lmao:

  14. Cool. I haven't been to a ULM game in years even though I intend to go all the time.
  15. I think mailing massive envelopes filled with crap to Jim Wolf might make a stronger point.
  16. According to the Trib, Floyd could rejoin the team on Monday. Link.
  17. Sosa grounds into a DP to end it. Brewers win.

We shouldn't want Cuban because he's a jinx? I like how your first post criticizes the Mavericks, even though they had the best record in the NBA this year. Laughable logic. From the vitriol in his posts, it's quite obvious he has a beef with Cuban. What it is, I don't know. But his posts read like a rant from someone who makes up his mind he doesn't like another and then looks for proof to support that. Cuban has turned the Mavericks from doormats to a force to be reckoned with. True, they haven't been able to win it all, but what they have done on the court over the past few seasons speaks for itself. There are a lot of teams that would love to have that level of success. I personally would love for the Cubs to end the year with the best record in baseball, even if we did lose in the first round of the postseason. Especially if I knew that year after year we would be among the best with the opportunity to win each and every year. That is the position Cuban has place the Mavs.
