  1. You guys are like five mins ahead of the feed on my computer.
  2. A really easy second for Dempster. That will do it for him and up next is Gallagher.
  3. It feels so good to listen to real baseball again even if the games don't amount to much.
  4. Theriot's guaranteeing his job for the first month of the season.
  5. When did the Dodgers or Andruw Jones become our rivals?
  6. Somehow, I think White Sox fans may be voting in the poll associated with the above article. Link.
  7. Pac-Man Jones has been given permission to seek a trade. Link.
  8. Like many of us alluded to, I found this in an article this morning. Link From the same article...

  10. This deal is dead. The Cubs had interest in Byrd and thought they could get him with Murton. The Rangers thought they saw a sucker and tried to scam Ceda or Veal. The dialogue will likely continue, but right now there's little reason for either team to change their position. If the Cubs felt Byrd was a missing piece, then maybe. But, Byrd is simply a bench player-insurance for the Cubs. I don't see this one gaining anymore steam.
  11. Personally, I think that's a bit much considering we already have an acceptable secondbaseman. I have no problem giving up Patterson, but I like Gallagher a lot. If I'm giving up Gallagher, I'd rather not give up Veal. Veal may or may not be anything special, but to throw him into the deal to get a player that while an upgrade is not a huge upgrade is a little much. I can understand why the Orioles want to make out like bandits, and this is probably one of those trades where it may be best for both parties to walk away. Sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make.
  12. I guess I need to sign up for mlb radio so I can listen to this one.
  13. So far, it appears there's proof that not only did Chance belong in the original poll, but he's likely the winner.
  14. Rotoworld's take is outstanding!
  15. And just for S&G's, check out White Sox fans' reaction to the idea.
  16. Isn't the Marquee protected as a landmark. So, even if they sell the name, the Marquee would still say Wrigley Field, right? Or does Zell have enough pull to get permission to remove or change the marquee?
