  1. Are you making it down for any of these games? And Bedford? My sister-in-law lives in NRH.
  2. Dusty will ensure us that we have nothing to worry about when it comes to the Reds.
  3. Use email addresses from your spam folder.
  4. how much did that run ya, big spender? Enough to buy you a year of premium...or my bar tab for one night. However you want to look at it.
  5. did the mods make you do it as punishment? It was just a gesture of good will. And BR edited out part of it.
  6. Just thought everyone would like to check out Jim Edmonds's BR page. Link.
  7. I don't know what happened to the last one, but let's do this again. It's All-Star Game voting time. I think we should focus our voting on Lee, Ramirez, Fukudome, and Soto. If you want to add Soriano to that group, go right ahead. Some of you previously pledged votes, and if so, please do so again. I'll start by pledging 100 votes per day.
  8. Link. Others on the list: #10 Jason Isringhausen, Cardinals; #9 Keith Foulke, A's; #8 Steve Trachsel, Orioles ; #7 Mike Piazza, Free Agent; #6 Mike Mussina, Yankees; #4 David Wells, Free Agent; #3 Jamie Moyer, Phillies; #2 Frank Thomas, A's; and #1 Barry Bonds, FA.
  9. I looks like Jacque Jones is close to signing with the Marlin. Link.
  10. The Astros used what little trading chips they had to get Valverde and Tejeda. They would have been better off using some of those to improve the starting rotation.
  11. At least the Brewers are losing. Ned Yost can't possibly have a job for much longer. Therein lies the downside. I'm hoping the Brewers can win a couple series in a row to prolong the Yost regime... Him being there for the remainder of the season (in conjunction w/ the loss of Gallardo & the inevitable Sheets injury) would pretty much guarantee that the Brewers won't be in the hunt come September. Not me. I want the Brewers to lose every game not played against the Cardinals or Astros. The sooner they bury the season, the better.
  12. I agree. Right now, the Brewers look to be similar to the Astros. The big difference is the Astros minor league system is devoid of talent while the Brewers have quite a few chips to use if they want to make deals to improve the team. That being said, if the Cubs play as they should, I don't think there's a team in the division that can win it from us.
  13. I just want to crush the home team at all opportunities.
  14. Can we just throw at Berkman's head to start off the game?
  15. And the Rangers just got back to back homers. 5-3 :) That's a good thing to see. No lead is ever safe in Texas. or when the astros' pitching staff is involved The two together can be a deadly combination.

  17. I must have been gone or something....
  18. I think we might need to trade for a closer if we hope to win the division. Maybe we could go after one with experience. Would Gagne, Isringhousen, or Borowksi be available?
  19. Maybe Bob should take over permanent singing of the stretch duties...
