Cleveland has fallen into last place. They are eight under .500, and sit nine games back. I have a feeling that Shapiro will start dealing soon. If the Indians run off a string of four or five wins in a row, it might slow the process, but my guess is that Sabathia will be deal a day or so after the break.

Very well stated. We're still well over 500. We did just lose three games in a row for only the second time this year, but we've won three or more in a row 8 times this year. We're in a tough stretch. If we're still struggling after the All-Star break or if we relinquish our lead in the division, I might get really concerned. Right now, I'm pissed after every loss and probably overreact during games, but when I look at the big picture, we're still ok. -
Let's get a win. I'm tired of losing. But in unrelated news, my nephew hit a HR in his All-Star game tonight.

That's a funny post and wrong as well. Show me which NSBB guidelines he breaks? Being pessimistic isn't one. I don't really notice his posts a lot, but just to make sure, I went back and read his last 20 posts before posting that. I agree with you here. His behavior in the game threads does have me wondering if he's really a Cubs fan. He's either annoyingly pessimistic, which would not have him breaking any rules. Or he's not a Cubs fan but masquerades as one so he can troll. If that's the case, he should be banned. I don't know which it is, so I've just put him on ignore.

Theriot takes more pitches and gets on base more often than Ward does... should he start hitting 4th? That said, nice at bat by Ward there. Ward leads the team in p/pa. Theriot is near the bottom.

Getting Bonds to replace Ward to me is a no brainer. Would Bonds agree to being a bench player, spot starter? I don't know. I do know that I'd love to have Bonds for that pinch hit late in the game. He has an impeccable eye and if the pitcher makes a mistake, Bonds can make them pay. -
Kelton and Sisco would probably top my list. Those are guys I thought were going to come in and make an impact.

My daughter has two birthday parties to go to today, one at noon and one at 3:30. I'm trying to angle for noon duty so I can watch the game. Wife for some reason also wants noon duty. I might have to wrestle her for it.
