    He looked very good. Considering he was brought into a game with the Royals already trailing 7-1, it appears they are going to ease him in with mop up duty. I'm pretty sure at this point he's as good as gone. I wouldn't be so sure. There's 157 games to go and he has to stay on the roster for all of them. While he looked good tonight, he may not the next time he's used.

    My take exactly. I didn't like Macias hitting, but I can live with that. Perez hitting when a HR wins the game is just stupid.

Using Neifi to PH in the 9th with a man on down a run Pass [ ] Fail [x] While we're on the subject, does anyone here get the feeling that dusty would be horrible at chess? Chess? Hell, I don't think Dusty would be able to figure out Chutes and Ladders!

    According to this, Prior is on target to start April 12 if his game against the Isotopes goes well.

    He's my pick to have the best pitching year from the Cards (as long as he can stay healthy). over mark mulder? Mulder is my pick for the Cy. If he's healthy (every indication he is). He should be a lock for 20 wins. Nobody is a lock for 20 wins. You're right. I'm just a little excited after opening day... :wink: So were we, but two pinch hit appearances later, I'm in mid-season form.

    Maybe he will get the thread going in the AM when he gets up. I say wait til then and if he doesn't have it going by 8ish, bump him back. It's very possible he was in bed before the game was even over...and the rules say not to start the new thread til the game is over. So, he may have had no chance. It's not his fault. The rules also say to get it up the night before the next game. Roast will understand if we need to get it up. It would be a sport start, so Roast gets the next one, win or lose.

    Hairston and Dubois probably wouldn't play with Darren before the game while Neifi showed him a nifty little back-hand move and Macias let him win in checkers so they got the at bats instead.

    Well it IS 2 AM. I'm sure he's sleeping, like most normal people do at this time of the night. :P Someone is going to replace him soon...you think we're going to wait for the morning to start that thread.
