    Restovich was a top prospect for Minnesota before struggling in his stints in the majors. He's only 27, so I like the signing. He's worth a shot. He could be the right handed pinch hitter, reserve outfielder we've been looking for.

    I could do that deal. It's not great, but if you're going to trade Walker, at least we get a solid starter for number five...2004 rotation re-united. Ibanez is a nice hitter and a bit underrated. What I don't like about it is we lose all our depth (Williams and Hill) for Clement. I think Reed and Williams is a little high price for Clement, who by all indications the Red Sox want to move anyway. In fact, I thought the Red Sox were willing to trade Clement for Reed straight up. Take Williams out of the deal and I really like it.

    Neither of those guys play the OF, so they would only have value as a pinch hitter. Thomas isn't going to play over Lee, so at best he'd get one AB a game.
