Just read AZ Phil's blog for today and he stated that he didn't see Gallagher out there with the rest of the pitchers. :-k He said he could have missed him, but that would be pretty strange considering the complete list he had for the separate groups.

Thank you. I'm also detecting hints of jealousy on NSBB that we have nothing close to the insider info OH has enjoyed in the past. People naturally don't want to believe another board has (or had) such connections. That's life. hahahahahahahahahahahaha! You don't get it all! They don't have any connections. If those dudes posted that stuff here but from the Cubs end they would have been banned. Um, yea. That's pretty far from reality. If not banned, they would certainly be widely ridiculed and no one would take them serious.

Since many of us have become aware of the OH, the so called insiders have not been right about anything. The national media is scooping their so called info. In regard to NSBB, we have had an insider (Bruce M) who has been telling us all along that the OH insiders were wrong. Some people just choose to dismiss his connections and believe that somehow these OH insiders are going to scoop everyone.

Well if you like that Cylvia Browne, John Edward psyhic type of inside info --- OH may be your gig. For most of us, we could just sit around and guess just as well and be just as accurate. Those guys have been behind in regard to all of the Bedard/ Roberts rumors for weeks. According to them Roberts to the Cubs was a done deal and verified by two sources a month ago. I'm sure if we had members on this board that claimed to have inside contacts and were 99% wrong all of the time, we would be on them just the same. But again, what are they doing besides reporting what they've heard on their own website? They're not the ones posting it here, yet people talk about them like they're doing it to mess with us. It sounds like in the past these guys generally had a very good reputation for getting some leaks or scoops in terms of club activity, but this offseason has been extremely off kilter for a number of reasons. For one, it sounds like the organization has been trying to crack down on leaks. Secondly, we've heard differening quotes, rumors and claims seemingly originating from the Orioles' organization itself, making the confusion even worse. It's not like the OH guys are the only ones who have been caught up in with bad or changed info coming from the Orioles. If they hear something, they post it on their board. Again, why is it anything to get mad over or seemingly act like we've been attacked or insulted? We haven't. I think most people that are joking about the "insiders" are doing so because they don't really believe they are "insiders". And the fact that we even still refer to them as "insiders" is an insult to true "insiders". Most people that have read OH within the last 2 months can be honest with themselves and admit that there are no insiders on the board and that most of the so called inside info has been incorrect. Maybe it is due to the fact that the O's have cracked down on leaks, but the end result is still the same.

You guys think Cedeno could get some of the CF duty against tough Lefties? I have no idea if he's any good in center, but if he's serviceable, that would further the chance of Cedeno being a valuable member of the team. We have a huge hole @ SS, regardless of what our organization thinks about Theriot. I expect it will become apparent to even them if Theriot is given the starting job. I think thats rather obvious. Lou has shown no real signs of sticking with a crappy player when he has a better option floating around. Lou is shooting alot of BS. On Friday's Chicago Tribune Live, Lou pointed out that the only spot open for competition is CF and never once mentioned Cedeno as a possibility at SS. I think Cedeno is going to be traded because Lou doesn't have the confidence in him to give him a chance to compete for a job. If there is one thing we should have learned about Lou last year, it was that everyone was given a chance to compete for every job. Everyone acts like Lou was Dusty-stubborn last year. If Theriot starts slow or has a bad spring training and Cedeno is lighting it up, you are crazy if you don't think Lou will make a switch.

Mateo is often a forgotten prospect in the organization. I wonder if he is finally over his injuries. His numbers in limited action look pretty good. It would be nice to have him healthy in Iowa this year.

I don't see how Angelos expects MacPhail to stay, if he keeps interfering with every trade. If MacPhail had a backbone he would walk.

I just checked Figgins career OPS and was shocked to see that it was very similar to Roberts. .754 .760 Given the near identical production, I would think the Cubs would have been better off filling the CF hole with a .760ish OPS, and sticking with DeRosa. Beside the ARAM for Figgins garbage, has there been any whispers about what the Angels are realistically asking for Figgins?

Yep. :? Are people still considering them to be "insiders"? I dont' think anybody in their right mind considers them "insiders" any longer. I suppose if each of us wanted to pretend like we had inside info and posted vague hints that there may/ or may not be a deal in the near future, we would bound to be right sooner or later.
