I am shocked that is your opinion, according to Len it was very little run support, that did the 6.38 ERA and a .324 opponent BA, that has done him in. (oozing of green font) Blake, what the hell was that throw, my 13 yr old daughter throws better
I like the idea, but they did mention of the commentary that travel would increase between east coast and west. I remember in the 70's they wanted to realign based on local regions based on less travel to save energy. The other issue I liked was move to a 154 game season.
has anybody in the Chicago land area (newspaper/media) suggested rebuilding each side from dugout up and keep the front facade and the bleachers, thus giving players a new lockeroom and removing the steel girders out of view of the fans?
Then the question is, would the Cubs be in any more of a competitive position in our division if we had 100 percent of our players healthy from day one of the season? I agree with cubinny that a pitching coach without extensive experience doesn't help, but would Quade's decisions be better if this team was 100 percent?
Could we just declare a week off to rest and rehab, you know call it an early All-star break, considering we won't have anybody going to the all-star game
I am down right excited for this team, we are only 8.5 back, I thought we would be 13 by now, esp. with Soto just coming back the Wells/Cashner dl and everybody else who decided to join them. Then Byrd deliberately leans into a pitch so he can have a few days off. It could be worse, we could still have Carlos Silva.
If their is a team other than us that deserves a title it is the Tribe, my dad's favorite team. One of his last request was to have me go to a tribes WS if it ever happened in my life time. When we moved to NE Ohio, after living in Chicago he would take us to Clev. Stadium 89000 seats and 3000 people there. We would by the buck seat and walk over to the box and the usher would let us sit for a 1.00 bribe by my dad. Boy it got cold though, and today tockets are outragous at Jacobs field (is it still called Jacob's Field?)
