    Because Grieve might possibly be the one person who is worse in the field than Dubois. He's got no mobility what-so-ever.

    Cordero has already appeared in 48 of the Nats 93 games. He's pitched 50 innings so far.

    How many more games can they keep winning 11-10 or something ridiculous like that? I can see them making the playoffs, but how are they going to win in the playoffs without any pitching? Yankees suck anyways.

    8/10. They tricked me on that "What happened on this day against the Rockies?" question. I didn't pay attention to the date and picked the Prior got injured answer. The other question I didn't know at all and had to guess. Fun little quiz though.

    Weather.com is saying there's only a 30% chance of rain this evening in Cincy. If true they should be able to get the game in.

    I'll be at tommorow's game, but with a righty pitching for the Pirates tommorow I think I'm going to have to see Holla playing. :cry: What are the chances that Dusty does something crazy tommorow and starts Murton, Cedeno, and Greenberg? :smokin:

    If Dunn is traded within the division and it not to the Cubs, Hendry better skip the convention next January. If the Cardinals or Astros get Dunn I'm not watching another Cubs' game this year. Personally, I think it will be LA. They have lots of money and an excellent farm system, especially their AA team. If all the deals are equal, why not trade outside the division? And LA is probably the best-case-scenario for us. I wouldn't mind it at all if Dunn went to LA. Just as long as he's out of the division if he's not traded to us.

    So, how do we think Corey will do in his first start tonight in AAA? I'm guessing he goes 1 for 4 with a strikeout.

    You could also ask why that same GM would sign arguably the worst shortstop in the league to a 4-year contract. I wouldn't put it past Bowden to trade for Corey.

Whoopdy doo. yeah, but in those 3 playoffs games he wasn't very good. :roll: Nevermind the fact that he was only 22 at the time and in his first full year as a Major League starter...

    If you look at his numbers over the past 3 years, he's already a great player: 2003 Phi .300 .409 .468 .877 2004 Phi .301 .428 .544 .972 2005 Phi .307 .428 .526 .954 Also, in those 3 years he's had 22, 40, and 21 homeruns. He also has averaged almost 30 steals a year over the past 3 years. He's been probably the most underated outfielder in the game the past couple of years. I'd love to have him in a Cubs uniform. I don't know if I'd be willing to give up Z though. It would definitely be a tough decision.

I realize it has come up here many times, but recent reports suggested that Hendry wasn't interested in 2-month rentals. So I was wondering why this rumor showed up today on ESPN. Thought there might be a new development and wanted to see if anyone here knew anything. The insider article on ESPN just says that the Cubs are one of the teams in the mix for Wilson, but Hendry has indicated that he's not shopping for a 2-month rental. Nothing new.

    The guy from "Cheers"? I hear Sam Malone is thinking about a return to the Red Sox. They could definitely use him in the bullpen right now.

    Milton's making over $7 mill a year for basically the same production a single-A pitcher could give. Huge ripoff. Although the Reds GM is an idiot, so I guess he had it coming.
