  1. Yeah, that and Rowand saying "No way" over and over again in the dugout as he watched the ball fly out of the yard was classic.
  2. Anyone else think all the innings the past two years are starting to catch up with Lidge a little bit?
  3. Are you kidding me? A walkoff by Podsednik off of Lidge? The White Sox are destined.
  4. I forgot the game hasn't changed a bit in 100 years...
  5. I think Dusty Baker found his way to NSBB and decided to start posting...
  6. Come on. Pierre is a slap hitter who doesn't have a good OBP and gets thrown out way too much trying to steal when he actually does get on base. Not worth it.
  7. Fox did this super-slow zoom in and it showed it hit the bat and not his arm.
  8. Padres.com and Padres.scout.com both are talking about it on their message boards. Still nothing other than fans talking about radio 1090 saying the deal is all but done. Key words there are "all" and "but". When its official, it will appear on something other than a message board. I know, I know. Still sucks if we don't even get a chance to at least give him an offer.
  9. What happened? Konerko hit a 2 out grand slam. After Dye was awarded first base with a HBP on what was a foul ball. Add that to AJP's strikeout in Game 2 and the non-call on Steve Finley's catcher's interference. Yep. White Sox seem to have everything going for them. Guess we'll be all alone with the our curse and World Series drought now.
  10. Pretty tough call for the home plate umpire though. It was very close to his arm, but when slowed down it's obvious it hit the bat instead of his arm. Still a tough call though.
  11. Padres.com and Padres.scout.com both are talking about it on their message boards. Still nothing other than fans talking about radio 1090 saying the deal is all but done.
  12. I hope Hendry has a good trade idea up his sleeve.
  13. Can't wait to hear the announcement that the Cubs picked up Burnitz's horrible option for next year. :puke:
  14. No thankyou. I'd almost rather have Kenny Lofton batting leadoff and playing CF than Pierre. Not worth it IMO. I do like the idea of Giles being Hendry's #1 priority though...
  15. Why are they playing Star Wars music during the introductions? Cheesy.
  16. Are you kidding me, NW is beating Michigan State 42-7???
  17. Yes. On to the offseason and the hot stove.
  18. I liked our chances with 2003 Prior and Wood going too...
  19. Well, it was them last year, too. Although I guess they were never up 3-1, but they still came back to Busch up 3-2. Yeah, but they showed they had no chance of winning at Busch last year. It was inevitable that they were going to lose in 7 last year.
  20. I'd be afraid if I were an Astros fan. 2003 it was us. Last year it was the Yankees. I feel it's the Astros turn to choke away the chance at a World Series.
  21. The problem is is that we have an ex-scout as a GM. Hendry is more interested in tools that numbers. I'm worried that as long as Hendry is here we're going to have to deal with mediocrity when it comes to OBP.
  22. Things evolve. No way. That's not what President Bush tells me...
  23. How the heck did this game thread become about Pujols, losing hair at an early age, and steroids?
  24. Reporter Carolyn Hughes, from what Derek's wife has said. http://www.p-r-o-j-e-c-t.com/twwl/ima/ind/c/carhug.jpg
  25. Wow. I'm speechless. It sure is quiet in Minute Maid park right now. I feel bad for the Astros.
