    Are you a Premium Member? If so, click on the Profile link at the top of the page. It will take you to the home page of profile. You then must click on the "Profile" tab that's just to the right of the bolded "home" tab. That will bring up the "Your Profile" tab. Click on the "Profile Settings" link on the left. Once you do that click on the "Reading" link that shows up just under the "Profile Settings" link. Click No on Display Avatars or Display Signatures depending what you want to take off. Click Sumbit. It's a little bit complicated, but it's worth it. :D

    OK, that's true. Anyway, here's my thoughts: if it's like 5/$50 or even 5/$55... I'm OK with it. Furcal just got $40 million for 3 years. Is it a risk? Yeah. But it's hardly a crippling contract, and I think he's well worth the risk. Can we save these comments to bring back out in 2-3 years??? :lol:

    Can we just send this off to rants? It was a Saturday night. There were some liquored up people roaming NSBB. Bad info got out. Let's all pretend it didn't happen. :D

    Hendry and Dusty get 2 year extensions before the season starts. Cubs trade Walker and Cpatt with prospects to Texas for Soriano and Mench. Macias re-signs. Cedeno starts the first 4 games of the season before being benched for Neifi. The team hovers around .500 all year. I stop watching around July. I watch a couple of games in September to see if Pie or any other young guys are getting any playing time. They aren't (Dusty's here, come on), so I stop watching. Sorry, pessimism is running high right now. :lol:

    That's solid. :lol: Don't get to watch the Bears that much so I can't say how bad Orton is, but how do you think they would look if the Bears had a respecatable QB?

    come on. The dude can catch the ball. He might not be able to throw it, but he sure can catch it. Plus he's fast. Speed is everything.

    I actually think it's going to be a very slow day in baseball. I think it's going to be a very busy week starting tommorow though. I'm looking forward to it...I think.

    The guys over at nyfansites.com message boards think a trade for Kent to the Mets could happen sometime soon. It would make sense for the Dodgers to trade off Kent. They could sign someone like Mueller or Graffanino to play 2nd until Izturis is healthy. Saves them some money.

    Worst Case Scenario: Hendry goes into the season with Cedeno at SS and Neifi at 2b. Cedeno struggles out of the gate so Dusty decides to move Neifi over to SS and start Macias everyday at 2b.

    Now he just needs to hire someone to take a lead pipe to Neifi's legs, and then he'll be our SS for sure.

    Can you explain? Dunn is still young. Abreu and Ramirez are in their 30's now. I'd still give up Pie for Abreu though. I'm probably one of the few that don't want Manny.

    We're top 5 in payroll and I'm sure Hendry is going to get someone on the cheap like Huff to play RF. Complete joke. How about making a splash by trading for a big bat, Mr. Hendry???

    The Cubs offer was more than fair they just got trumped by a GM trying to make a splash. Seriously, you can't blame Hendry for Furcal going to LA. There aren't many GM's out there that would give Furcal over $13 million a year.
