  1. I still haven't seen many changeups from Guzman, which is supposed to be a plus pitch for him. Wonder why he's not throwing it very often.
  2. Nice relay to get Sweeny at third base.
  3. Yikes. The blood is just gushing out of his head.
  4. I think Miller has pretty much cemented his position as 5th starter after his performance today. Hopefully he pitches this well when the season starts.
  5. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Miller throw today. I haven't seen him pitch yet this year, and I want to see what kind of stuff he has. I'm still holding out hope that Guzman beats out Miller for the 5th spot, but with all the quotes from Lou it doesn't sound likely.
  6. Don't know how he looked. There was no tv broadcast today, and the radio announcers didn't say much. He gave up one hit, but didn't give up any runs.
  7. Now that's a lineup I like to see.
  8. Ugh. Sucks that he's still only hitting upper 80's, but he was definitely pitching much better yesterday. Hopefully with more repitition he can gain back those 6-7 mph on his fastball.
  9. Wow.
  10. 8 blocks up clark, which is slightly more than 8 city blocks since it's diagonal, so probably a mile and a quarter. Nice, thanks! I stayed there last year. It was probably a 20 minute walk. is it really nice enough to charge $200 a nite? no Are any of the downtown hotels really nice enough to charge what they do though? Summer rates are ridiculous.
  11. Ugh. It was nice seeing that 91 MPH reading come up over and over on Comcast. Guess the radar was just fast. I got the impression from others that the swings he was getting were from good velo and movement on his FB. Yeah, but it makes sense. There were more than a couple times where Hill was throwing 95 and I know he doesn't throw that fast.

  13. Before or after the attack by rabid wolverines? God, I really hate U of M. State Sucks!!! You're right, the entire state of Michigan does suck. I don't disagree with that. Michigan is in terrible trouble. Luckily, I'm moving to Chicago in May. :D

  15. Prior for Cy Young! 8-) Good outing for Prior. He's definitely improved in each of his outings. Let him pitch a couple games at AAA or extended spring training, and see how he is after that. Hopefully he keeps improving, but it was definitely good to see him pitch well today.
  16. Geez. Nice coverage Comcast. Apparently Lee doubles.
  17. They aren't the normal Prior curveballs, but I wouldn't say they're spinners. He actually threw a couple of nice curves that past inning.
  18. Ugh. Hearing Plesac ramble makes my blood boil. Good inning for Prior.
  19. I think they should do that anyway...He just doesn't seem to have any heart anymore. They should just stick him down in AA, let him carry his own bags for a while. Make him ride the long bus rides. That might change his mind. :D
  20. That's what happens when an 86 mph fastball gets way too much of the plate. :x
  21. Prior just throwing beach balls up there.
  22. I've had a knot in my stomach everytime he's pitched since about 2005. I'm always worried he's going to suck or injure himself.
