  1. Swanson is the real bad one hitting with RISP, under .200 historically. He didn't choke in the playoffs with RISP, it was just Swanson being Swanson. There's a reason Atlanta let him go.
  2. Take away PCA and the Cubs are a .500 team. Our starter in the playoffs would be a #4 starter with a serious WS contender. The bullpen was a complete joke. Terrible small ball game, not good at moving runners along or bunting. Jed has to go. The question is, do the Cubs see it as a failure? Attendance was almost 3M, are they just going to live off the 2016 glory like the Bears have with 1985?
  3. Without a half dozen gruesome ninth inning bullpen crashes they would have been at 95.
  4. Agree totally, Jed needs to go badly. The Cabrera signing was classic, sign a guy with a history of injuries who, wait for it......spends the season on the IL, didn't even make the playoff squad.
  5. I'd love to give Shaw a real chance next year, he's excelled at every level of pro ball so far. It isn't like they have better options.
  6. Will the Cubs care? No matter how bad they are they sell out at the big amusement park know as Wrigleyville.
  7. Pathetic, on a true contender Boyd would be a #4 starter. Without PCA the Cubs are a .500 team.
  8. Hoerner has a weak arm, that's why he plays 2B, I've seen several throws resulting in a safe runner than Dansby probably would have gotten. I would play Matt Shaw over Ramirez, he can hit for power, run, and field, and has excelled at every level of baseball he's played at.
  9. Shaw had excelled at every previous baseball level
