  1. I would agree with you. Moss had a big week last week and Knox has shown some talent. I might usually say Harvin but Detroits defense is bad enough compared to GB that I'd take Knox this week. Moss and Harvin. Harvin will be the fastest guy on the field against a D sporting two ancient/slow CBs. Look for Brett to swing it out to Harvin a lot and let him pick up YAC on Monday. The Bears should be doing a lot of work on the ground game this week. And I wouldn't put Royal in until he does something at this point. And I assume return yards are not a stat otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question.
  2. He was a first baseman for awhile for the d-backs until they had the corner infielder log jam so they moved him to the OF. So I'm not sure if he could play right in Wrigley. Plus, he's Matt Murton with more playing time. And I'm not sure the Cubs want that on this team or not. Nor am I sure Arizona has any motivation to sell so low on him.
  3. Yea, that's pretty easy if it is standard scoring.
  4. I am assuming it is not a PPR or Chester wouldn't be available. Are return yards a stat? [edit]If PPR are and return yards are not [/edit] pick up Chester immediately. I still like him to do big things this year as the 3rd down back possibly more than Norwood.
  5. Thank you for the Blue Screen of Death. I enjoyed that.
  6. A large part of it has to go on it being two apparently very unstable individuals.
  7. Drop Boss and pick up the best WR available.
  8. To have those 4 receivers is pretty amazing. I think you are gambling on the RB side though. You're a soph. slump or two plus a guy realizing he's on the Lions away from a bust of a year. But could be a boom too.
  9. The one on the bottom is a freak.... guaranteed.
  10. I would kill to go to a Cubs game just once in my life. Try to go early in a season then when you go, before the angst and the venom are overflowing in August and early Sept.
  11. Naively believing in the infallibility of drug tests. That's nice. Not saying that he did or didn't use, but cocaine is a drug that exits the system relatively quickly. Someone knows what happened to him... they just don't want to incriminate themselves.
  12. The Cubs send this guy (7-4 3.35 ERA 1.35 WHIP): http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Wr6RQ1OrNEQ/SaNpYzfzKaI/AAAAAAAAAQY/0mpcb-ODwEg/s400/z+stache.jpg Unfortunately he won't be rocking the 'stache, but instead some frosted tips. But at least he should be throwing to that guy in the background and with the rest his ball should be moving like a deadbeat dad running from child support. He'll face Rockies pitcher this bald guy (8-9 3.76 ERA 1.25 WHIP): http://www1.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/Colorado+Rockies+v+Chicago+Cubs+0g1xjDXi9_Zl.jpg ::listens in earpiece::What he's not really bald? He's only 25? But isn't Ubaldo spanish for Bald Guy? It's not? But his name sounds like he should be bald... just roll with it. The bald guy last faced the Cubs on April 13th and couldn't get out of the 4th. Let's make that happen again Cubs. Those of you lucky enough can catch this game on CSN. Those in the Evansville area (pretty much me) can catch the Cubs on WBNL 1540 AM "Boonville's hometown radio station and your home for Cubs' baseball for almost a half of a century." Which is better than listening to the horrible Reds announcers last night make excuses for Ryan Hanigan not having an RBI in 10 years and 30 minutes on the weather in San Francisco.
  13. I assume I'm up next since E.J. spot started for Laura on Sunday? If so, Laura, I hope you start for awhile. Let's sweep the Dusties.
  14. 2nd inning. First pitch he sees.
  15. Assuming regular stats this is the way that I would go. If it is a points per reception league, I'd think about keeping a WR instead. Maybe Berrian, although you could get him later anyways. He is going to have a huge year with Favre throwing to him.
  16. Central and Eastern Start Times. How about we stick to one time and label it which time zone that one time reflects? I thought it was going to start at 6:05 unless that interferred with Soriano's WWE event and then it would start at 705.
  17. He does not mean every word that comes out of his mouth. And then sometimes when he's obviously tired he is capable to rambling nonsense because he can't find the right words. This should always be considered when he says things that sound off.
  18. A little continuation to the good news on Soto's timetable.
  19. What did he say for those of us who didn't hear it? The Cub offense hasn't been that good this year and the outfield defense has been worse. He thinks we'll start scoring more runs, but it won't be enough to overcome our outfield defense. He thinks the Cards will win the division - especially if they get Halladay. That and it will take 90 games to win the division and we cannot get there. He also mentioned that our bullpen hasn't been as good as expected -- yea, I think we can go with that -- but also that our starting pitching hasn't been very good either -- and that one was kind of a head scratcher.
  20. Let's take 3 out of 4 here and move onto a streak of winning series. We need to get that going so we can prove little Timmy Kurdakfjlaksfddin wrong from this morning's Mike and Mike.
  21. If that's a new realigned crew, that sure is awful and a bad way place for a AAA guy to learn the MLB. The number of ejections this crew would put up in a season would be ridiculous and they would likely be mostly the result of their own poor calls.
  22. It's actually the Mexican League. I'm willing to bet that Macias wouldn't be OPS'ing ~950 playing in AAA in Indianapolis.
