We only had four starters last year so I'd assume erik, haubrich and Fred would be in with one of the three with five wins as well. Well, let's keep in mind that when I started my first game thread, we were tied for first place after having lost two in a row to the Marlins, and the Cubs then proceeded to win the final game of the series before going on to sweep the Brewers at Wrigley North. Clearly this would not have happened if someone else was starting the threads. :wink: That's a good argument. But I'm not so sure it beats Mark_R starting the game thread with the first Cubs no-hitter since 1972. Yea, and the fact that he probably remembers less of the 2007 playoffs than anyone else here gets him a vote in my book. Wait a minute. Lucky jerk. Nevermind.

:lol: Poor guy grew up in Detroit. 2 straight playoff seasons and he is a die hard now? He was hired to be a Cubs fan, and he has done an excellent job--much better than most would, I believe. You have other options if you don't like his voice (Pat and Ron, mute button, ice pick in the ears [don't ask which of those I recommend for you]). His musical taste is completely irrelevant. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and you've expressed yours in about as obnoxious a manner and place as possible. Continued personal attacks are unnecessary.

They mentioned this during the game today and I thought it was surprising: Jesus Flores leads the Nationals with 59 RBI, despite going on the DL back in July and only having played in 90 games this season.

I know You can't turn on a radio and listen to Pat and Ron? They're not synched. It's annoying to listen to. Unsynched pat and ron for the clincher is much less annoying than this fox team for the clincher. I went gameday audio this half inning as well.

Brewers-Reds. Yea, whoever thought this game should take priority over Cubs Cardinals needs to be fired.

Technically, if the Brewers lose before the Cubs game is over, the Cubs will be on the field when they clinch. If this happens, I vote they break out the champagne showers in middle of the 8th or whenever.
