    This team pisses me off. This crap offense has no business waking up, and every win is that much longer that I'm stuck giving a crap. Don't Eff with my emotions, Cobs. If your offense exists, freaking use it. None of this teasing, stringing me along bullcrap.

    It already IS nice. I just hope that we can put at least 3 or 4 other competent batters around him in the lineup. At least the blind squirrel Floyd managed to find a nut in the first and drive Lee in.

    Incredible. Pessimistic in the TOP OF THE FIRST when we score FIRST. Wow! Izturis is gone, so no more RGIs. Cubs will only be scoring in the bottom of innings today.

    I was in middle of making lunch and was splitting my attention just enough to not have noticed whether or not he took any pitches before making the first out. Shoulda known.

    I wish Cubs baseball still gave me this amount of enthusiasm. I have a feeling it will be spring training before I get anywhere close to this again.

    Lily's on 3 day rest? No Lilly and Z are both pitching on 3 days rest after their next start, and Thrachsel is this time thru. Who's being skipped? Hill? He's pretty much the only other inexperienced, grit-lacking, unproven non-gamer left in the rotation, so it would make sense.

    I'm curious to see if Ramirez batting behind Floyd will mean that Floyd gets a pitch or two to hit. If so, I'm curious to see if he does anything worthwhile with said pitches. If he gets better looks thanks to the added lineup protection and he still craps the bed, he really needs to go away. Steve Trachsel should follow him.

    At this point, I would gladly trade schedules with the Brewers. I can't imagine the Cubs beating any of those three teams more than once in a series. I'll be thoroughly shocked if the Cubs are more than about 1 game over .500 for the remaining stretch.

    Same here. Going into the bottom of the second, I decided to spend the day skydiving instead, and it was still only 2-2 when I left, but I knew it would only get worse and I'm glad to have been away. I hope Sean Marshall gets to take his spot back now.
