Does Fenway get an exemption from being stupid? It's got two vertical lines on its homerun "fence", though one of them (the deepest part of the park) is angled to offer little to no possibility of Soto's situation last night. Minutemaid is stupid.

At the beginning of the season, I figured that by this point in May, I would be within about two weeks of my first start. I'm due up 16th. See you guys in August!

YES i am tired of the all-stars determining this for the world series...completely idiotic I'm glad I read the thread before voting. This is easily the single most [expletive] rule in the game, especially considering it's the fans who put the players in the ASG in the first place (which would be a close second-worst rule).

Unfortunately they've been winning with this. Hasn't Michael Borne had an unusually high percentage of big games against the Cubs? I don't like the term Cub killer, but the way I am remembering things, he seems to be on his way to being one.

Maybe the Padres can cut Estes too - then we'll finally have an option available so Marquis doesn't have to stay in the rotation.

It's great that the Cubs finally won another series and all, but it just makes it that much more bitter that these jerks couldn't have won one of three when I flew out from Cali with tix to game four. Of course, if the Cubs were making a repeat performance this weekend, I'd probably have done something to get me in jail by now out of pure raging hatred for those pricks and their stupid purple uniforms. I guess my point is, the playoffs sucked. And Cubs win. Yay.

And the way he's four steps to the dugout by the time the ump finishes the strike three punch. I've always been a Cubs fan, but that was the day that marked the beginning of my current level of obsession. I never got home from school until after 4, so when I turned on the tv hoping to catch the 9th inning (and having no idea what had been going on to that point), I saw them interviewing that new pitcher. When Chip said something about 15 Ks thru seven, I'm pretty sure I needed clean shorts.
