  1. Cedeniot delivers!! (Hey, just trying to help him get more starts.)
  2. It wasn't late... it was the third or fourth inning, I think. That's right, Pie's was the one that was late.
  3. Doesn't Cedeno already have a late-inning, 2-out, bases juiced key hit this season?
  4. for the first time, it seems Soto is putting too much effort into being a God.
  5. Get the trainer - DeRo just twisted himself in half. It's hard to recover from being split in half.
  6. Even if it's just an extra layer or two of slightly more durable cloth, I think most batters should consider a pad on the front elbow.
  7. Five bucks says that tonight's Bartman reference is inspired by Castillo being in the house.
  8. The Mets are definitely an intimidating team. A solid showing these two days will definitely help reduce some of my doubts based off playing the Pirates so much so early.
  9. You know this is a 2 game series, eh? This would make taking 2 all the more impressive!
  10. How did this season get lumped in with 84 and 03? If we're going to sit here in April comparing this team to any previous full season clubs, wouldn't 85 and 04 be better comparisons? The expectations WERE high in those years . . .
  11. Murton is the obvious answer. Then again, he was the obvious answer to bring up when Patterson arrived. I think Soto goes down and Sori learns to play catcher, so that he can't hop before his catches.
  12. -We should watch some more non-pirates pitching before we get carried away with this train of thought -Does his ridiculous misplay in center field not fall under the "always" umbrella? also, see first -I hope it keeps up -He's been quite satisfactory for not having been heated up yet. His patience has been unreal. -This is probably the most important point to consider when looking at today's results -Some would argue that the fifth inning was reminiscent of the Dempster we all feared when he received his starting role. Lack of control, very hittable, etc... -He's the only anxious hitter on the team, and it really needs to stop soon -Me too. but again, see first.
  13. Looks good to me, but based on the mild success Cedeno has seen so far, plus the organization's displeasure with Murton, I'd imagine the two would be swapped.
  14. I'm waking up in 6 hours, working a 12-hr shift, and following that up with a 12-hr drive. 10-1 (or better) at the end of the 5th is good enough for me. Keep it up, Z and whoever else pitches tonight!
  15. When was the last time we had that? Fred? he's on the road. I'm curious too, so I txt'ed him the question. We may know by the end of the week.
  16. CPatt should be in to pitch in about a half hour.
  17. Not really. If Lou hadn't trotted out so many second basemen, we wouldn't have to settle for 9 runs at this point. We'd probably be in the neighborhood of 15-1 right now.
