    I don’t think games are missed, maybe im wrong but the owners can’t possibly be that dumb. I also can’t see the 10 or so poorest teams agreeing to a spending floor. Overall a salary cap would likely be catastrophic for parity and competition if the NHL is any example, it’s basically the same 4-5 teams every year, and rebuilds take significantly longer than the other leagues.

    2 seems fine, replay review (with any type of call) needs to be restricted someway to only blatantly incorrect calls that anybody could point out without a second look or slow motion imo. There needs to be a human element still, I really hate how college football and the NHL spend several minutes multiple times a game agonizing over every single angle for a call that really isn’t that egregious.

    MLB (and therefore the players on the field) is a product for consumption, I genuinely dont even consider that these guys exist outside of the diamond.

    People who are upset about losing Tucker did not watch games after April. People who want a salary cap should not be allowed to watch baseball. Salary caps are pro billionaire and anti labour. I would rather cut the bottom third of MLB out than suffer the utter catastrophe of a salary cap.

    Most professional athletes are not the kinds of people I would want kids looking up to, this has been the case for my entire life. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy sports if I required the players on my favourite teams to be good human beings. I assume you didn’t watch any games last year because Tucker, another member of the sign stealing Astros was on the team?

    If you can’t ignore someones off field views because you disagree with them then maybe a sport where the majority of players are white and grew up in wealthy families isn’t for you boss.
