  1. Keep Hendry, get rid of Baker. Jim's biggest mistake was hiring Dusty. I hope he doesn't get pushed out of the organization because of him.
  2. Anybody else love that Carlos attempted a drag bunt? That was great.
  3. This is the first game I have seen since Monday. Have we looked this bad the whole time?
  4. Once again, I would like to state that just because a player can play all of the positions, it doesn't mean that he can play them well. This is one of the main reasons why Macias' defensive versatility doesn't mean squat.
  5. I wouldn't want to see him in the dugout. The booth is close enough to the field for me.
  6. has he even thrown five innings in a start? id say hes going to struggle to get too many 2's if he hasnt. I don't believe so. He did go 4 in his last start, though, so he might get there by the end of the season. Of course, when you have 16 pitchers on your roster, you also don't need your starters to go that long. ill bet dusty could have 17 pitchers on the roster and still overwork prior and z. ronny would probably get a lot of pt if he made the roster though. He is a gold glover with plenty of experience. Of course he would get PT.
  7. I thought everyone decided not to make an official color for sarcastic comments? I agree, please we're not WSI, we don't want to be anything resembling WSI. If you can't pick up on sarcasm oh well. I did it purely for entertainment value.
  8. Yay! Hoooray booing.
  9. Because he hasn't gotten any run support and he doesn't pitch enough innings to qualify for wins.
  10. Our prospects have been up since the beginning of the season. Dusty has just been sitting them because of Neifi and Holla.
  11. I'm impressed with the IP/SO's. not to mention the IP/BB might be a bit high, but when compared to his SO total, totally accpetable... Still a bit early to be making any sorts of trends out of it. This is especially true considering he may be working on a pitch or on his mechanics and doing something different on the mound from what he normally does.
  12. I am in Seattle right now so I don't have access to the audio files. I will be back in Chicago on the 10th and I can upload them the next day. If someone else was willing to do that, even better.
  13. Thanks for answering our questions Mr. Sing. There were many on this site that were surprised and outraged that you did not make the Southern League all-star team. I along with others here noticed that after you got snubbed, you put up a couple of pretty nice lines in a row. First of all, how did you take not being on that team with the rest of the guys that made it? Secondly, was that snub something that you used as motivation during those games? Congratulations on your great year so far and the first half championships. I can guarantee that you have gained a bunch of fans on this site over the last two years that want to see you hitting those homers at Wrigley in the future.
  14. Thanks for agreeing to answer the questions. I would like to ask you about the art of the ejection. You have gotten tossed from several games this year, is this normally your intent when you go on the field to argue? What sorts of thoughts go through your mind after you get ejected? Do you feel bad that you can't coach your team for the rest of the game? If there are any other fine points that you would like to add, feel free. Thanks, once again.
  15. Thanks for joining us. In a Q&A we had with Ron Potesta ealier in the year, he said that you and JK were the best hitters among the pitchers on the team. Is that something that you miss being a relief pitcher? When you were drafted, was there any question that you were a pitcher or position player?
  16. I think that the rockets comment might be accurate. 7 out of his 15 hits have been doubles or homers. Also, to quote someone at was at the game tonight,
  17. Garcia looked pretty good when I saw him player earlier in the year. So good that he was one of the few that stood out to me. (This was when EPatt and Harvey were out, though)
  18. By Lounge, you mean NSBB, right?
  19. Iowa: LHP Raul Valdez (5-5, 6.05) @ RHP Mike Thompson (1-1, 1.29) West Tenn: RHP Ricky Nolasco (10-1 3.22) vs. RHP Ty Taubenheim (0-2, 4.71) Daytona: LHP Chris Shaver (0-0 1.50) vs. ? Peoria: RHP Grant Johnson (2-4, 4.06) vs. LHP Ryan Ford (9-6, 4.51) Boise: RHP Darin Downs (4-2, 1.88) or RHP Matt Avery (1-1, 2.49) Mesa: ???
  20. I definately won't be able to go for about a week and a half or so because I am going to Seattle tomorrow.
  21. Thanks for the report. Hopefully Corey can get a little bit of consistancy going.
