Right. How is he being "ruined?" Isn't he the best defensive 3rd baseman in the NL at this point? Are you serious? You beat me to the comment, I did a double take when I saw that. Apparently all of the teams in the national league other than the Cubs stopped using third basemen? -

Honestly, that doesn't impress me that much. There were 2-3 returns there were people got remotely close to him. 2 of those returns he should have been taken down for a loss but got away due to a horrible tackle. The other was a legit return. He has some remarkable speed but Miami also had some pretty great return blocking there.

There is no way Roy was going to get by me. I would have definately taken him with my 2nd pick, if not my first. He is going to have a huge year, I think.

That was such a tough decision. I was keeping edge and LJ no matter what and then it came down to Holt vs Steve Smith. I went for the slight gamble over the sure thing.

Everything I've heard has him in the 10-20 range of the first round. If he drops into the 2nd round, Mark Bradley got about $2 million in guarantees. If he gets taken in the first 20 picks of the NFL draft, I will piss my pants.

Prior struggles in first rehab start

So, I was at the game on monday. Needless to say, it was disheartening. The crowd was almost completely silent the whole time Prior was on the hill. It was kind of bizarre to be honest. He was around 87-88 the entire game with his fastball and threw almost nothing but it. I didn't have the best angle but he seemed to have decent command when he was in the zone but there were times when he throw a pitch that the catcher could just barely catch. He certainly didn't have the command we have seen from him in the past. I know that Mark said he isn't worried but I am. -

From what I have been reading in BA, this draft class isn't too great and the players haven't done a whole lot to improve their status so far this season. This is especially true of the hitters. Should be interesting to see how it changes from here on out.

And this is why he should stay in AAA the whole year. Hopefully the Cubs aren't stupid.
