  1. What the hell was DeRo doing there. And Jeff you may want to pay some attention to the baserunners.
  2. Nice start Ted. 7.1 IP, 7 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs, 83 pitches. Let's see dominant Carmel here.
  3. Too bad for Eyre. Pitched horribly in the first half last year but was great in the second half and was solid this year when given opportunities. He was pretty busted up over it when they showed him on the pregame.
  4. dumbest organization in pro sports? dumbest question in recent NSBB history? he pitched a good game, but like i said, there were financial reasons behind the Twins' decision to leave him in the minors. You could also call Tampa Bay idiots for keeping Evan Longoria at AAA to start the year. the point is, it's ridiculous to suggest that a small-market team that regularly contends for division titles is the dumbest organization in pro sports when you have the baltimore orioles, atlanta hawks, l.a. clippers, minnesota timberwolves, houston texas, arizona cardinals, atlanta falcons, new york islanders, columbus blue jackets, and plenty more terribly-run organizations that rarely do anything right. it was hyperbole, yes, but an organization that trades Santana for pennies on the dollar and then won't call up arguably the best pitcher in the division is not smart Because those two decisions outweight everything else right? Since '01 they've had a winning season every year but last. This will be their 7th out of 8. They've also won 90+ four times and are on pace to do it again this year. Their highest payroll in that span was $71M and they've been under $60M in 6/8 years including '08. Clearly they're incompetent.
  5. Ozzie said he wouldn't bring in someone who throws an 82 mph fastball to throw a purpose pitch. Replays showed all three pitches high and tight were 91 mph.
  6. Dixon is a nice pickup. I always assumed that Anderson should be able to land a bunch of top-flight guards.
  7. 83 for Harden through 6. Should be able to give us another inning.
  8. as someone who corrects people for their grammar, you might want to avoid phrases like "might could"   Is that some kind of Louisiana thing or something? I've seen that before, though extremely infrequently. "Might could" is a very southern thing. I hear it around here all the time. I had never heard it until "The Wire." I've never seen "The Wire." I'm sorry to hear that.

  10. WGN has been terrible this year compared to Comcast. They seem to have so many issues. Gotta take him out now Lou.
  11. No problem Z, double play ball from Kendall and strikeout of Sheets.
  12. A horrible sound that I've heard a few times lately on WGN games. They've had technical difficulties all year.
  13. BOOOOO BADGERS It's not our fault every single one of your sports programs have gone downhill, except wrestling. Correct but it is your fault that you have the most annoying fan base in the Big Ten. Well, top 3 anyways. Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State are worse. Ohio State is #1. I haven't been to Ann Arbor or State College and both of them have been down in basketball for quite a while so you only hear from them regarding football. Having been to 7 Big Ten stadiums for football games, Wisconsin and Ohio State were the two worst for me. But Wisconsin fans tried starting stuff out of nowhere much more than OSU fans. Anyways, I'll try to avoid hijacking the game thread and stop. 2 big outs from Z.

  15. It's those obnoxious legions of Milwaukee Bucks fans that get me.
  16. Not only that but everyone else is seeing him really well. Laying off borderline outside pitches and taking big cuts when it's there.
  17. That's logical. In my opinion this is the one ideal situation for having a starter in the bullpen. Hopefully he remains successful in the pen for the rest of the year and then work on those secondary pitches in the offseason/spring training in hopes of moving him back to a starter. Considering the amount of time he's had full-time in baseball and the progression he has shown I think it's reasonable to expect that he can develop those secondary pitches in time. Meanwhile he can be a very nice addition to the bullpen.
  18. Another ambush from Font. He's the man.
  19. I think he has always had the talent to make great plays, it's just that he sometimes screws up the easy ones. It would be nice if he started to screw up some easy ones against us.
  20. This clown really needs to be sent back to the minors.
  21. Life would be a lot easier if I could consistently hit any irons below the 5. At some point I'm going to have to get a hybrid. I try to make it work with 3 and 4 irons. I go through stretches where they're solid, especially on the range. But then I'll hit one terrible shot on the course with them which always seems to lead to another one and then my confidence is shot.
  22. Why the hell did you walk over so he could tag you Kosuke?
