  1. yeah, at risk of being completely blasphemous, i really want one. well, jay will be rising from the dead to absolve our sins tomorrow.
  2. this is the battle of the butchers in left field. nice job, kosuke. i knew you could do it. i love it.
  3. has it not sunk in to anyone else that jay culter will be playing qb for the bears? its still not real for me yet.
  4. i am absolutely stunned at the result of today's match at anfield. i definitely did not see chelsea winning this game much less thrashing liverpool as it sounds like they did. btw, its getting hard and hard to avoid soccer scores these days. i was hoping to make it home and watch the dvr without finding. oh well, at least it was a good spoiler. i'll still enjoy watch the scousers get romped in front of the kop.
  5. put wolf on suicide watch.
  6. I felt much the same way, but I wanted Mike Williams, so I'm an idiot too. I still can't believe Mike Williams was such a bust. I was so pissed when the Bears passed on him.
  7. Darcel McBath (TTU)
  8. He admits he's terrible at picking winners. yet they make picks for practically every sporting event all year round.
  9. Sounds like Angelo is picturing Ced Benson when he's saying that.
  10. Not a whole lot to say at this point, guys. Just bear with us for a bit. We had a meeting today, and this was not an easy decision to make for the people who made it. I'll be up in Milwaukee next weekend. I'll also do the best I can from afar. I hope we're back out there sooner rather than later. In the meantime, stick with me. I appreciate your support. Bruce, Are you still going to be writing the game stories and notes for away games or will the Herald be relying on the AP or other sources for these stories?
  11. that's got to be disappointing for you bruce, as well as us as your readers. unfortunately, it seems to be the way that things are heading. i'm sure it's a matter of time that there won't be much road coverage of many teams in most sports (except football).
  12. have he and jim hendry been dining together?
  13. peter king is a dolt. one of the big reasons why the bears offense was so bad last year was the quarterback position. no kidding they were 26th.
  14. Mike Mulligan on the SCORE said the Bears have 8 picks as well.
  15. typical contrarian article to the general public's view of the trade. Or just maybe what he feels. Mike Mulligan thinks the positives outweigh the negatives. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/1507812,CST-SPT-mully02.article possible but like someone else said, he's been writing the past few weeks about how they shouldn't trade for cutler. he has to stick to his guns. another trib writer david haugh has been banging the drum very loudly for cutler for weeks. it just makes sense for the trib to have their two featured columnists with opposing points of view on the biggest football story in years. it makes good copy.
  16. typical contrarian article to the general public's view of the trade.
  17. bears open the season on sunday night? i've been trying to find the schedule but with no luck. i thought i heard that... maybe i'm wrong :-k no, you're right, david. it's v. green bay on nbc, but the rest of the schedule hasn't been released yet.
  18. It just took Jerry Angelo and myself while to come to terms on the Cutler deal but I'm glad we were able to get it done.
  19. pace signed a 3 year deal.
  20. tim floyd is staying at usc according to fox sports.
