  1. Castro really tweaked it. On the 1-0 pitch he swung out of his shoes and tried to stretch it out. It was clear he hurt it because Jones came down the line from 3B box to check on him. During the pitcher change he was in the dugout and never came out
  2. That's weird. I got the wgn game on Friday. Also for those 2004-5 fans. I can confirm towel drills still in effect. Reliever using towels in the bullpeb
  3. I'm at the game. Ball was not crushed. Routine ball that he got crossed up on. And yes contra throw was incredible
  4. Hendricks came with Villenauva (sp?) for Dempster. Edwards/Grimm/Ramirez/Olt for Garza Important as given the perceived value of what was given up to what could be gained given last year and half of performance, I would say Dempster Trade is looking like a strong contender. Rizzo/Cashner has a chance to even out if Cashner could just be healthy. Dempster for a solid 3B prospect likely to be basis for future deals and a #3 starter for 5 years? Not bad
  5. Harvin....for a 13th? No brainer. He will explode this year
  6. That list is horrid Big Ben in Top 10? Kap and Russell Wilson behind Both him and Ryan? I wonder if the list was "which QB would you build your team around" how the rankings would change. I suspect Luck would be 1 and Wilson & Kap probably top 5
  7. Is it wrong to want to see Szczur play instead of Lake?
  8. With Russell's D profile why would anyone assume Castro stays at SS. I would Assume Castro at 2B, Russell at SS and Baez at 3B.
  9. Boys of Zimmer was when I became a cubs fan. great summer and a great baseball man.
  10. Why not give the rooftops 17% of the Sign that specifically blocks each of their view. ANd for the partial blockages, give partial revenue shares?
  11. Well the blazers sure looked rusty today...sheesh
  12. SA already? Not sure they get past portland. Season series was well matched and played.... I grew up in portland. Got to see Rip City at its Finest (Drexler/Porter then Bulls/Blazers early 90's), its most dubious (jail-blazers), most heartbreaking (BRoy; Oden) and now its most under-rated. Blazers now are Rip City of old and to see that City celebrate was fun. There is a you tube video of about 5 minutes of uncut footage immediately after the shot. Just cool stuff from my hometown. Something not often possible in the Northwest (except, 2/2/14)
  13. For whatever reason, in reading that article I get a huge Russell Wilson type mindset from CJ Edwards. If so, pretty good company
  14. For those still thinking Sherman is an idiot, POS and so forth, was his press conference today.
  15. Add 4 point field goals like the 3 point line in the NBA too. Didn't a pseudo football league try this? Was it the UFL or Arena?
  16. This is the link for the Article mentioned upthread http://mmqb.si.com/2014/01/20/richard-sherman-interview-michael-crabtree/ Look at the picture and again tell me I am being a homer about what he was doing to Crabtree. Read Crabtree's reponses today and watch his interview. Clearly Crabtree is not the "Face" to Sherman's "Heel" in this situation. I freely admit that I am a Seahawks fan and I will likely be the dissenting voice here but reading the comments, I don't understand the vitriol. Sherman gave an honest interview and has written a very good article in response. Russell Wilson is one of the most likable players in the NFL. Seahawks football is a good story of success when it looked like they were going to leave the city. Seattle is one of the most beautiful places to live in the nation and is one of the most unknown parts of the nation by the general public. Hopefully the superbowl will help shed some light on this. As far as the upthread comments on the drug use, look at the graph and tell me who is in 2nd place only 1 player behind - the Broncos. As far as the suspensions this year, they are NOT PED related. Marijuana is legal in Washington and Browner and Thurmond were caught with it. Nothing PED related and nothing illegal.
  17. ha, ha Classic. Did you see her postgame with HArbaugh? What a load of crap that was..."I'm sorry I have to do this and I'm sure your devastated but how do you feel?" Clearly a brilliant journalist
  18. I've been rooting for the Seahawks, but you're making me re-think that. You have a nice combo of homerism and persecution complex. And Pete Carroll is a POS, but he has been for a long, long time. The hate for him has literally nothing to do with the Seahawks. Homerism probably, persecution not likely. Just a dissenting viewpoint with some clear points. Am I glad Richard Sherman plays for the team I root for, absolutely. Do I think he is the best Corner in the league, probably. Am I shocked and appalled at his postgame interview? Not in the slightest, just like I'm not appalled with Crabtree's response. I find it refreshing that 2 teams that are noted as being the Best NFL rivalry right now are refreshingly honest and forthright with their emotions. Do you know where Sherman went after the interview? He went right to the stands to Celebrate with the fans. Every interview with every player thus far has noted the "12th Man" effect and in that I am a homer. I love the "relationship" the fans have with the team, one that is probably the envy of most teams in the NFL. On a side note, did anyone else hate the announcers for FOX? What a bunch of horrible crap. Most of the time they couldn't even identify the correct player on the field. On the pass that Crabtree caught over Thurmond, both Aikman & Buck kept calling Thurmond Earl Thomas despite the very large Number on the replays and the back of his jersey prominent. I mean I would understand confusing a couple of backups but Earl Thomas is a finalist for Defensive player of the Year. Seriously Fox? UGH@
  19. In fact, he was such a good sport that the refs decided to flag him for taunting! That was after for the choke sign to Harbaugh. Which is because Harbaugh told NFL teams not to draft him
  20. you guys do realize that Sherman went over to Crabtree first and told him good game and held out his hand to shake and crabtree shoved him off... The Niners displayed worse sportsmanship than all of that during the kneeldowns...Aldon Smith took a shot at Wilson and Wilson just tapped his helmet and left. On the last kneeldown the guy on the left side of the D-line popped Giacomini (Right Tackle). definitely chippy. Sherman was brutally honest about it all instead of the boring crap like "played a good game...blah blah" However, this whole thing started on Thursday when Crabtree told reporters that Sherman was a nobody and he didn't study the film on him because he didn't matter. Sherman was targeted the least of any corner all year but somehow led the league in Interceptions. Good Player. For those of you hating on the seahawks now because they have a coach that people have irrational hate for and because their players speak whats on their minds instead of the mindless dribble, all power to you but after 2/2 I think that some of you may turn that around.
  21. I'm thrilled, though I hate that it didn't work out with Munchak because he seems like a great guy. Very early rumors are that Rich Bisacia and Dan Quin are in consideration. Ruston also said that they're considering coaches currently on playoff teams. I expect Darrell Bevell to be a serious contender, which I like. Hoping they look at Todd Bowles and Stoops too. You can Take Bevell but leave Dan Quinn alone...
  22. the seahawks have had 5, broncos 4. not really the big deal its hyped to be. as for Carroll, except for 9/11 stuff all things said here is same as most coaches and personal opinions. perhaps the hate is because the team is good?
  23. Seriously? Enough of that crap. The seahawks have had their share of PED users but Browner is not one this time. He is getting popped because he missed tests while in the CFL. Lawsuit is pending and he will be back in 2014. The hate for Carroll (for whatever reason - still unclear) is ridiculous.
  24. Looks like Browner is going to be again. Again, NOT PED. Same thing as Thurmond...Weed. Guess they visited Colorado recently That's not what's being reported. I've seen PED's reported for both. You can't expect a Seahawks fan to acknowledge the obvious. Seriously? Read NFL.Com...says specifically NON-PED Substance abuse. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000288008/article/seattle-seahawks-brandon-browner-faces-suspension 3rd paragraph down... I'm not ignoring the fact that the Seahawks have had their share of issues but when the situation is clearly not PED related, don't lump the judgement together. Marijuana is legal in many states in many circumstances. However, the NFL prohibits its use like many employers, including mine. If someone gets caught and gets punished, they deserve it because it violates their agreement with their employer. But when judging people for their mistakes, at least make the correct judgements.
  25. Looks like Browner is going to be again. Again, NOT PED. Same thing as Thurmond...Weed. Guess they visited Colorado recently
