I still don't quite understand why the Cubs feel they need to get rid of this guy. He's been at the center of the offense the last 2 wins. Am Ram is just an out of shape 3rd baseman that was rewarded with a fat contract (Fat RAM?) Everyone else is fumbling around. Jacque Jones is even coming out of his slump. I hope the CUbs are not banking on the power of Bynum? With Woods on tap today, the Cubs pitching seems to have settled down. Marshall is 3-1, which I some how overlooked. Zambo seems to have recovered from the Worlds; Maddux only had one really bad game. That's a pretty good 4 starters if they give quality starts. Just keep Fat Glendon away and in the pen. The Cubs look for the sweep today, yes vs. a bad team and all, but it's a good start and any, ANY momentum going into the Sox series is welcome. Fall down 8 stands up 9 indeed. The thread (and my hopes and faith?) looks prophetic now.
