  1. Anyone know the 2nd highest bidder in the Dansby sweepstakes and how much was offered?
  2. I just read a stat where Bellinger Morel Seiya Swanson Happ and Nico are a combined 351 points below their career OPS this season.
  3. 2004 bullpen+2006 offense minus the slug swapping bases empty singles with walks=2024 Cubs.
  4. Watching then reminds of the spring training scene in the movie major league.
  5. Our kryptonite headed my into the off season was a lack of reliable pen arms. What does Jed do to adress it? Sign Neris and manager who can better manage a pen with no reliable arms. The position players were shaky enough as is but no one could’ve foreseen this offense being so bad with RISP regardless of the $ pissed away on Dodgers and Yankees role players.
  6. It’s a comedy act at this point. The outcomes are so predictable. Inability to pile on runs, wasting a gem from our starting pitching, and coughing up 2+ run leads in the 9th. All the ingredients for a jersey mike sub sandwich.
  7. This is far from over guys. Pen needs to record 3 outs while holding them to no more than 7 runs.
  8. About time Craig took Morel out of cleanup spot.
  9. Mets took us out of comfort yesterday afternoon. Let’s cling to a 3-2 lead in the top of the 7th and flip a coin to see if the pen can hold the lead. I pick Heads.
  10. No true homerun threat outside of Morel. BABIP comes down to luck to a degree. I’m just glad the Sox signed Bennetendi before Jed could
  11. We know. Usually they wait until September for ice cold bats.
  12. Hold them to 6 runs all series and lose 2/3. Pathetic, horse s*** trash a** team.
  13. Unfortunately we have one power bat in the every day lineup. BABIP is not always a reliable way to score runs when there’s a degree of luck.
  14. Where does our starting pitching rank? I know our record going in to today is 11-9 in games our staff allowed 3 runs or less. Rest of the league is winning at a .890 clip in those types of games.
  15. Disgraceful. History in the making. Can we have the lowest winning percentage in games our staff allows more than 3 runs?
  16. For reference that’s a factor of 11X below the MLB average.
  17. Can we make it 11-10 since may in games our pitchers allowed 3 runs or less? Coming in to today the cumulative record for all 30 teams was 450-62.
  18. If we DHd for our catchers and put our pitchers in the 9 hole would anyone notice?
  19. Cubs are only 11-9 since may in games the rotation allowed 3 runs or less. The cumulative record for all 30 team’s allowed 3 or fewer runs are 450-62. If they could score at a league average pace in these games they’d be 41-30.
  20. Hopefully they can increase their average with RISP above the Amaya line today..
  21. $120 million for a projected 8.3 WAR. For 1/3rd of that Judge who’s on pace for a 12. Brilliant spending by Theo Epsteins freind.
