  1. I'm about sick and damned tired of reading "the cubs spent 300 million last off season." THEY DIDNT. They will if all these contracts are fulfilled over the next 7 years or so. Oh, way to go young guys :)
  2. Geovany Soto
  3. 1) Lee -- great player, great attitude 2) Soriano -- he's my son's favorite player 3) Ramirez -- best 3B in the leaugue. 4) Zambrano -- he'd be my least favorite player in the league if on another team 5) Thriot -- he is a gamer. . .hustles. . . etc, etc, etc. All Time Favorite Cubs: 1) Sandberg 2) Jody Davis 3) Dawson 4) Sutcliffe 5) Mark Grace Care to guess when I was growing up?
  4. JESUS H CHRIST, ESPN --- Dunn wasn't going to throw Theriot out, so what freaking difference does it make/
  5. Dunn has to argue? Who the hell is the announcer? Steve PHillips?
  6. and he get's an 0-1 to show for it :) Dunn caught it, but the results are the same --- Theriot was tagging up and would have made it home.
  7. I have a dream. I have a dream that one day every starter for the chicago cubs will post an OPS over 1.200. So the brothers and sisters of Cub land will no longer feel the need to bitch and moan over every little statistical mishap that a player may or may not suffer from. Yes, I have a dream.
  8. What's Lou's gripe? Was he wanting the astros to win?
  9. well kiss my ass --- how do you like that?
  10. double in the gap. . .game winner? odds? 2-1? 3-2?
  11. i'm more concerned with Floyd lolligagging rather than backing up Pie. . . Pie did his best to cut that gapper off.
  12. Sandberg had 36/19/19 in 84. With the proper amount of roids and HGH, he'd have gotten it! :)
  13. Z looks like more of a jerk now. Is it the big contract?
  14. the 9/5 tix are still available. They're taking offers. . . let me know via PM if you're interested.
  15. The Dugout Boxes are gone. Dad sold them at the hotel. The others are still available. They took them to the ticket brokers and were told that the dugout boxes really aren't that special --- very little interest from the public. Somehow I find that impossible.
  16. hey guys, my parents had to cut their vacation short because my grandmother is having unplanned surgery on Thursday. They have tickets to the 9/5 and 9/6 games. On 9/5 their are 2 tickets in section 218. Cost is $50 total for the 2 tix ($25 each). On 9/6 they have Dugout Box seats -- Section 25, Row C. Cost is $120 ($60 per ticket). All they want is their money back (face value plus all the idiotic charges). If you are interested, please PM me and I'll give you their phone number. They're in Chicago now. They're going to the next 2 games then heading home.
  17. well slap me naked and hide my clothes. . . . we SCORED
  18. do these pecker heads understand they're in a pennant race? Come on guys, play ball!!!!
  19. i think i'm more pissed that kendall swung at ball 4
  20. If we make the playoffs, we could play the D'Backs in the first round :(
  21. i'm not a fan of the Theriot double clutch.
  22. Guys, I'm sorry that I missed the draft. We're moving into a new house and my weekends are pretty well shot -- I thought I was going to make it back, but it just didn't happen.
