  1. Dansby's first strike the inning before was basically as bad. Some jarring misses for a game in 2026.
  2. Pitchers with Brown's strikeout to walk numbers tend to end up being good
  3. We're really doing Seiya concern, 10 games in with his track record?
  4. Obviously a bit erratic but Martin's stuff looked great
  5. Nico would've been given 2nd base; they would not have thrown through. As has been stated, Kimbrel isnt a GB guy anyway. In that situation, the decision for Mendoza should've been to chase a strikeout which is more likely with Busch than Hoerner (split slashlines mean less when you dont need to reach base). Then choose whether to pitch to Bregman or I assume Amaya after him.
  6. That's managerial malpractice pitching to Nico in that spot
  7. Extending the losing streak on a blown save would provide some good content
  8. Not having access to team facilities from Dec to at least March next year probably isn't ideal either. If that's how that works.
  9. Great takes by Happ and Seiya. Also some serious respect for Ballesteros by Mendoza taking out his best pitcher knowing it was then going to be lefty v righty. Glad he was wrong!
  10. Really curious as to what is ailing Rojas
  11. He stared into the dugout the previous 2 pitches as well it looked like. I thought that seemed weird
  12. Based on a 1 game sample, Shaw has some prime LF Soriano in him in that the eye test looks awful but he's so athletic that he grades out well
  13. I think Sharma said recently that Snider has an early season opt out but didn't have one at the end of spring training. If he looks good at Iowa, we'll probably see him soon. Also if the plan for Shaw is to play a lot of outfield, we'll see if they think Carlson is worth a 40 man move. The fit might be a little awkward.
  14. The September arm injury was a big factor as well I'm sure.
  15. I'm still a firm believer in Matt Shaw the baseball player, but if Jed is still looking for pitching, it makes a lot of sense to trade him to the Red Sox for one of their optionable pitchers. Like the Marlins before, the Red Sox match up very well for a trade on paper. We'll see if the Sox opt for Paredes instead.
  16. Apparently Crane said there will likely be less than 10 spring training games broadcast on Marquee, siting budget.
  17. I kinda think he's gonna open up as the backup in CF. I have doubts that all 3 of Shaw, Ballesteros, and Alcantara will open the season on the MLB roster, barring injury to someone else. In theory, there's enough ABs but in reality the starters aren't the type who are going to get many days off unless they're injured, in which case depth ready to go in the minors is still helpful. Feels like one of the bench spots will go to a vet who they don't care if he gets like 4 ABs in April.
