Yeah, that is wild lol. I still remember online posts from Cubs fans irritated at Joe Maddon the day after winning the World Series and it’s continued on for years. Just enjoy the trophy. I can fully understand the frustration at Dusty Baker, though. The World Series is the ultimate goal, the team didn’t achieve that and a lot of people place blame on the manager as the decision maker. Not that it should take away from an incredible 50+ years in Baseball. It’s a well-earned retirement.

Definitely got a kick out of how gut-wrenching going to Jake Cave would have been for Philly fans. Somehow an even worse fate than going to Michael Martinez.

Cubs had a half game lead over Arizona on September 16th, then went below the D’Backs the following night and never overtook them again. Arizona were 84-74 on September 26th and then went 0-4, couldn’t be chased down.

If the FO picks up Kyle option for a year or buys him out/re-signs him for something like 2/20 or Kyle rides off into the sunset, I wouldn’t hate any of the three options. As stated above,,the money saved would come in handy if the team did move on. If Kyle comes back, his salary isn’t exactly astronomical. -

Yes, another LCS Game 7. This is what postseason Baseball is all about. Texas vs Arizona is my pick. Something new after a stupidly consistent Houston era. Say what you will about the Astros cheating era but 5 World Series in 6 years is just nuts.

Houston have had these home woes in the past. 2019 World Series, all 7 games won by the away team and Houston had home field advantage.

Texas can take comfort from knowing Houston were 39-42 at home during the regular season and 1-3 (0-2 against Texas) at home during the postseason. None of that will matter because Houston have delated Texas to the point that Game 6 will probably be a blow out in Houston’s favour.
