    As horsefeathers as this team is, it’s fun to play the Rockies and resume “Will Kris Bryant play fewer games for the Rockies than his contract value?”. watch. 4 and a half years into his contract and he’s played 170 games. Signed for $182 million on a contract with 2 and a half years left.

    Cubs aren’t even the suckiest team in the NL Central today, so that’s nice. Paul Skenes gave up 2 runs in 6 innings against the Dodgers. Then the bullpen gave up 10 runs in the 7th.

    At least the Cubs have a really cheap club option on Rea for next year. Just how they like it. Cheap.

    And he didn’t have a cheating history, so Heyward was instantly more likeable.

    Today was maybe the last time we see him. Last year of his contract and any injury over 3 months, and you may as well add another month of rehab assignments.
