    They did. Then 2016 happened. The Ricketts simply don’t care anymore. Now it’s all about making themselves richer.

    If you understand the Ricketts family, Then you already understand Hoyer. Any other President of Baseball ops guy given the task of winning, but constantly failing every offseason and that person would have been run out of town by the owners. But Hoyer’s instructions from the owners is to stay within the budget, don’t overspend and he’s rewarded with a new contract. He’s a yes man for owners who love the job he’s doing.

    All I read from the main board is “Cubs to sign Cal…” So I am just going to pretend that Seattle tore up Cal Raleigh’s contract and we’ve signed him.

    Court of public opinion. The voters probably just like him more. But yes, he shouldn’t be in either after failing a drug test.

    None of them needed to take PED’s. They were all HOF’ers before cheating and they all wanted a leg up on the competition as if their talent wasn’t enough. I have absolutely no sympathy for any of the greats not in the HOF because of cheating.

    You don’t even need a subscription to anything these days. Just copy and paste a paywalled articles URL in here https://archive.md (in the white box and hit “save”)and most articles will open up. I have had very few articles that won’t work, but the majority will.
