  1. You are correct. They'd pickup a closer in season, if in contention, like 2016 aroldos chapman.
  2. Personally, I love the imanaga signing. When gambling, go big or go home. But, Is our rotation currently below par? Right now many here are projecting imanaga as one of our top starters. Baseball America in December rated imanaga as a 4 or 5? Is Baseball America just a rag?
  3. Killian is currently KING LOL
  4. He was hurt in 23.
  5. Never once said I liked bell. Go back and look for yourself. I said jed wouldn't pay for a 16m bell. I tend to rate good young pitchers on other teams at their worth.
  6. With all respect to you rcal. You are a Cub prospect hugger. Killian has next to no value in everywhere but your Cub love. And if you really think Mervis is the next coming, why are you banging the Hoskins drum on a daily basis? Keep in mind Hoskins isn't coming here to dh. He's coming to build up his value for his next big deal And Cabrera? He has a good history thus far in his early career. And if he were already a Cub you'd consider him a solid 3
  7. Get ready folks, bleacher nation is kinda talking up drew smyly as a Cub starter. Who needs imanaga? We Got smyly !
  8. That trade proposal makes no sense. Jed doesn't want a 16m Bell. And Killian and Mervis are currently both turds based on current mlb performances and will remain turds until they prove otherwise. And for the Cubs to also gain Cabrera in this deal is laughably so one sided in the Cubs direction.
  9. Better hope traveling to Chicago in a snowstorm isn't part of Jeds sales pitch, lol. My money is still on the Giants for imanaga. Boston still is the greatest option for montgomery when you consider his wife just started her residency at a Boston hospital.
  10. This is such a laughable advertisement, I'm crying here right now.
  11. Is Michael cerami of bleacher nation a Cub mouthpiece or a knowledgeable baseball enthusiast? I swear he mentions Morel at thirdbase way too often to be a trust worthy reporter.
  12. How do the Marlins benefit? Does Bell equal Jeds intelligent spending? NOPE
  13. Rcal???? Do you not recall the great Lou Boudreau saying to Vince " The batted ball always finds the bad glove on the infield" ? Cmon Rcal, try not to mention thirdbase and Morel in the same post ever again, for the love of sweet baby Jesus?
  14. I dislike this
  15. Plus, probably 8 -10 other teams with the same thoughts. I am a firm believer cubs will get skunked on anybody worth a tinkers dam.
  16. Dude, I have to laugh at myself everytime I see your photo icon. Because first thing that enters my mind , welp that ASTRO fan is back again
  17. How come, When I look up imanaga in Wikipedia, a picture of fukudome comes up?
  18. "The" Post of the Offseason
  19. I wish someone would explain how cubs are almost always linked to all these big name free agents and when all is said and done, we end up with the equivalent to brown juicey-ness running down the backside of our legs.
  20. Well poop. If his birthday is after July 4, it's considered his age 28 season?
  21. I believe if Cubs were to get Imanaga, they'd almost assuredly do a 6ish man rotation. Steele and Imanaga both top out at 170 innings as their highest point ever reached. Likewise, Hendricks shouldn't be expected to top that limit.
