Brought this here because there were Cease and cub rumors. Sox fans along with oriole fans have a source tying the 2 teams Cease for Povich plus 2 more highly ranked kids from orioles. Probably just jibber jabber?

You're right. I was thinking back on the Kenny Holtzman for Rick Monday type of deal. Which I hated. I wouldn't ever trade a very good pitcher for a good hitter straight up.

To me it might appear that Jed is already planning on a rotation of Steele Taillon Hendriks Smyly Assad/Wicks to start the 2024 season. Then Mervis Hoerner Swanson Madrigil Happ Tauchman Suzuki as primarily in the field. Hope I'm wrong but I fear Jed will prove me right

I'm not sure why you want to trade for Polanco, we already have a second baseman? It's already been mentioned here he was played out of position by the Twins last year at third out of necessity. And he totally sucked at it to Morel levels. Why settle for inferior players only because their hand fits a random glove? Albeit badly?

Ooooh man he makes 24m in 2024 and 25m in 2025 with a 5m buyout. Yikes, I wouldn't go near that deal unless whitesox picked up a third each year, which ain't happening
