  1. God damn Ayers. Save some for the big league team.
  2. I dont hate the idea but I think the Guardians laugh you off the phone.
  3. no thanks. Would rather keep PR up.
  4. please please be the catalyst to get these guys going. We have had two of these this week. It has to do something.
  5. Man, what a disaster of a season after the beginning. Had so much promise. These guys just arent fun to watch right now at all.
  6. I'm just not sure this season turns around if the pitching doesnt get any better. We are just absolutely decimated there and cant stop giving up home runs. If we are selling at the deadline, I want all pitching back.
  7. I was really hoping that walk off would be the catalyst that turned things around.
  8. I could get behind a Riley Greene trade.
  9. Ive seen enough. Promote him to AA.
  10. I do agree with that. Just spitballing here though. Fair enough
  11. I wonder if Jed will look to trade Conrad for a pitching upgrade at the deadline. With the breakout's of Kepley, Hartshorn, Pedro Ramirez and Alcantara (not really a breakout but the power jump this season is impressive), we could have a lot of future cheap options for the OF, not to mention if we look to maybe extend one of Happ or Seiya. I know Conrad is hurt but I imagine he could be an attractive piece for a rebuilding team. Maybe for Joe Ryan.
  12. wait, Hartshorn got promoted? I completely missed that...
  13. PCAs approach at the plate has been so much better so far this year. Hes gonna pass his walk total from last season here in the next couple weeks.
  14. Good points. Dont disagree with them and I am not 100% blaming Zombro. He has time with me, but just color me unimpressed similar to how I am with Cabrera (who I still believe in). I'm just so apathetic with Cubs pitching development.
  15. Agreed. Wing and McGwire have been impressive so far so there could be a wave coming but I have little faith in it right now.
  16. Yep. This year has been an absolute disaster for pitching. The Conrad pick was a good pick at the time, and I still believe he can be a good player, once healthy, but Jed and DK really need to stop taking pre injured players, especially pitchers. I mean in 2022 didn't they take like 8 pitchers that had just had Tommy John? The strategy isnt working and were seeing it in real time right now with the complete lack of impact pitching prospects at higher levels though I will admit there are some promising arms in the lower levels. Wicks was a bust, Horton is probably a future high end reliever as I do not trust him to stay healthy ever again. Wiggins, the jury is still out on, but this is an organization that is clueless on how to develop pitchers. I mean they have had what 4 homegrown pitchers reach the bigs since 2019? Also, Ive been extremely unimpressed with Zombro so far.
  17. Yeah. Agreed. That's compelling enough for me to do it. Could possibly give the lineup the jolt it needs to get out of this funk.
  18. I dont hate that idea at all. PCA is clearly pressing right now.
  19. Scary part is, its not even the 4th of July yet. This could be leading up to a monster 2nd half for him if he continues his trends.
  20. Kepley needs to be promoted already. I wanna see how he handles AA pitching.
