    Id give it a B+. Idk why but when I look at the roster, it just feels one bat short. I think this is a contender for sure and I love the pitching staff. Jed did a great job this offseason and this is the first time I can recall where I loved every move he made. He finally addressed the bullpen with some velocity and got us some vets we can utilize/trust to start the year and fill in the gaps with internal arms as injuries occur and rest is required for some guys.

    I just dont know where they will find the time to ease Mo into catching at the MLB level. Kelly and Amaya will have those starts on lockdown for a while. I guess injury is always possible but hopefully that doesnt occur.

    Good year to have 4 picks in the top 100. I expect another pitching heavy draft for the Cubs.

    Got another to add to that as I agree with all those. Will Jaxon Wiggins take another step forward by improving his efficiency and throw more strikes to get that BB rate down?

    Based on how it seems like the Cubs treat IFA prospects, Id guess no. Cabada is a maybe since his plate discipline seems to be somewhat advanced for his age, but I see June as a potential Myrtle Beach Assignment for both if everything is going well.

    Excited to see if Cabada can adjust quickly stateside this season. Got high hopes for him this season.

    im talking more a bench bat. A right handed OF would be ideal. Id like to see someone with some power there, Alcantara definetly fits the mold but hes still unknown.

    I like the roster as is but I kind of agree it feels one bat short. I think they will be looking to add one at the trade deadline though, not right now.

    Sure, I agree with that. Just saying his strategy seems to have been the right one in regards to that SS class.

    I thought it was pretty obvious that the Swanson contract has been a pretty good one so far. He's outperformed both Correa and Bogaerts and as much as I love Trea Turner, the backhalf of that contract when he loses his speed is gonna be brutal. Hoyer made the right choice there. Even though Swanson drives me insane at the plate sometimes.

    im hoping we trade one of Taillon or Shota in the offseason. Taillon isnt bad but hes overpaid and shota is very overrated, he just doesnt fit Wrigley as a fly ball pitcher. Id reinvent the rotation around Horton. We go Horton Boyd, Whoever doesnt get traded between Taillon and Shota, Steele (when he comes back) and fill in the 5th spot with a FA. Still a very mediocre rotation but its really our only option at the moment with how cheap and awful Hoyer is with pitching,

    i imagine hes on the exact same plan as Horton. If everything goes well I think we see him up in May

    Personally i think he should win but i wont be upset if he loses since we get that extra year. Drake Baldwin had been very good this year and is a catcher. He should win if it isnt Cade. Both have strong cases

    No interest in any of them. Murakami is gonna flame out of the pros big time. He strikes out way too much. MLB pitching is gonna eat him alive.
