  1. Linking for the quote from Bruce. Did anyone catch where Bruce said this?
  2. I think it was the correct move. Maybe worth putting out a note about the merger? I’m sure others have been searching for it as well.
  3. Been away for a while, was it announced that the Rumors and Transactions forum was going away? I noticed it was missing and I couldn’t find a notification anywhere.
  4. Below is in a down season for Cease: Ideally the Cubs could add a tweak here and there to help get his BB% down some and maybe a few more ground balls. Age 30 season is next year.
  5. A guy can dream Cease becomes our version of Wheeler to the Phillies.
  6. This is where I’m at. I don’t get it. Would rather start Kitt and let Drew face their bottom lefties.
  7. It's a real possibility. IF it happens, I know Cubs fans are going to have a meltdown, but I also don't think it's the end of the world. They would need production from the combo of Mo/Caissie AND would need to add a horse at the top of the rotation with their large amount of cash. Also add a decent BP arm or two. If that all happens, I think we could still be a damn good team next year, especially if one of Mo/Caissie end up having a solid year at the plate.
  8. My blueprint would go something along the lines of Kitt as the opener (Maybe 1 hitter in the 2nd depending on the Brewers lineup) > Shota for 6ish outs (Basically until he gets to the first righty of Chourio/Contreras) > Rea for 6ish outs > Then best arms/matchups the rest of the way.
  9. Another windy game, with left/left center shots having potential to carry.
  10. They're for sure relaying signs from second, and unfortunately it's just part of the game. Brewers are doing it, Cubs should be doing it, Yankees have been blatantly doing it for a few weeks now and they were accusing the Blue Jays of doing the same - It's the worst when you have a splitter pitcher on the mound. Absolutely have to hide your grip. Hopefully Boyd has fixed his tipping issues, because I agree with TT on feeling like the Brewers were laying off tough change ups that normally induce a swing and weren't fooled at all on some of his breaking balls.
  11. It’s Boyd -
  12. Woodruff (Lat strain) is pretty certain to be out correct?
  13. They did lose their best hitter (This season) the week prior to the playoffs. Laureano, who historically is a lefty masher, was a huge loss for them.
  14. Oh my that about got out. Hopefully we get some in the air to left center
  15. Sigh I was hoping Boyd was a machine and all our inning concerns would be moot, but appears our concerns are coming alive.
  16. Since Caissie was called up on the 13th, wouldn't that signal maybe they were a little more concerned? (I'm not sounding the fire alarm here, just seems that since Caissie was actually called up, that counters the argument of the Cubs not thinking they need Caissie in Chicago)
  17. (Bracket watching) Don't chastise me for this, but at this point we probably just want the Brewers to win enough to stay ahead of Philly right? They do hold the tie breaker over them. Would love a shot at the Brewers in the second round vs playing at Philly if we're the victors over SDP.
