I'm anxious to see how they play the field. Benching Stott or can he play 3b for Bohm? Arraez already stated he isn't moving off of 2b if traded, so moving him to 1b and Harper to the OF doesn't seem likely.
Guys who are questionable if they are available - Hunter Greene and outside the box long shot here, what does a DeGrom package look like? Rosenthal reported earlier they might sell DeGrom/Seager depending on how their game goes today (Seems wild, but sounds like some pressure from ownership side to unload their contracts before the lockout combined with losing 4 of their last 5 series).
It is if they need to work other deals, Mize, etc. Again, they must really like the Ryan package. I think they sent what they wanted from each team, and the Dodgers accepted.
This + every team that was in on Skubal is in on other SP. They all know the Skubal domino needed to fall first, so I’m guessing teams had their best offer in on Sat (hence why we were out early Saturday) and/or Tigers sent what they would need from each team to accept early and LAD accepted. Skubal not being moved until right before the deadline would have been a nightmare for teams trying to acquire him + land their backup plans in such a short time.
I think they just really like Ryan and valued him more than most of us causal folks do. Seeing reports they wanted Henderson from the Brewers. Brown would be the one that fits that mold on our team.
I know everyone is going to be pissed at that, but the optimal TDL path is still there for us. Land one of Kirby/Detmers, land one of the higher end rental SP, and land a late inning BP.
As always, the end return is nowhere near some of the outlandish packages that get thrown around. River had TJ surgery in August of 24 and missed all of 25. He was a solid prospect but definitely not the type of young arm they were rumored to be after.
Yes to all that. He was their #6 SP in a 6 man rotation, owed $24m next year (vesting year in 28 for $25m) and rapidly regressing. + Kade Anderson is coming
