    murton put up his best iso ever this year and it was right at 200, so i dont see a 230 happening

    Interesting, they might consider Swisher for CF too. Not if they care about defense. Swisher was apparently bad in the OF this season. He was a little below average, but I thought he was a CF coming through the system? I don't know what the scouting report is on him, he and Kotsay looked similar in size when I saw them play at the Jake earlier this year. the a's have always SAID swisher could play center, but he's done very little of it, and watching him in right makes me seriously doubt that he could ever be even close to an everyday CF. especially if zito is on the pitching staff.

    Do they have the AG Edwards Dome as a backup option to play at if the construction of the new Busch is not done in time? maybe that can collapse to maybe st louis can fall in the river or something

    He definitely seems to be saying that it's due to the lack of black players, not to the lack of interest in black players on the part of the Houston Astros. This is a fine article.

    maybe stone could come up with hilarious nicknames for players that would inspire them to sign there for less money actually, he'd probably just devote all his time to hiring atmospheric scientists to come in and improve the visibility in bank one ballpark and he'd forget to actually field a team

    completely agree. i remember wanting to start a fight once in a game when i was 14 because we were losing by about 37 runs or so, and the other team was just out on the field screwing around and laughing and stuff.
