  1. and i'm sure if you could steal gas anonymously on the internet you would to. I doubt you have the balls to go steal a CD from Best Buy what does that even mean
  2. everyone who thinks ccr is better than the doors should really not be allowed to vote
  3. if you vote eagles youre a dork
  4. hopefully all the cardinal players die soon
  5. No The one word response is always good. will you go back and explain the thing about how stats like warp dont count since the cubs haven't been good? i dont follow that all.
  6. I TURNED THE TIDE HOORAY FOR ME vote count when before i voted = 17-17 since= 19-6
  7. my vote makes it 18-17 sabbath hooray
  8. well it's always best to evaluate a player when they're at an extreme high or low
  9. The only joke is watching Walker try to play. you're thinking of all the cubs, especially the pitchers who think it's a good idea to give up multiple grand slams an inning.
  10. Players who's game is based on speed have been shown to age well. I think the fact that he is 32 is largely irrelevant as he will be a good player for 5 or 6 more years. I could definitely see Ichiro as part of a very good team. I think it's generally thought that players who are well-rounded age well, not so much players who are based on speed. Ichiro minus a step or two will likely mean a 30+ point drop in batting average, at which time there's absolutely no way he's not going to be much overpaid.
  11. i would've voted peppers over the stones or beatles, but not here.
  12. you really should hate the beatles. it's so fun.
  13. the good news is that this whole tournament is now irrelevant bad job, all.
  14. why do people like girardi?
  15. really? he only gets mentioned in every trade rumor.
  16. hopefully the cubs take advantage of their close proximity to mexico and buy illegal fireworks to celebrate independence day, thus placing themselves at risk of serious injury or death.
  17. yesyesyes I don't know why more people don't realize this, but it's actually a good thing when your favorite players get screwed over for awards and this sort of thing. Bobby Jenks making an all-star team is only going to make him more expensive when it comes time to re-sign him. My guys will take the performance, and your guys can have the accolades.
  18. i'm rooting for david eckstein to put down a bunt to win the world series on a suicide squeeze so that next year we field a team entirely of players under five feet tall
  19. But if you take away his bunt hits....ah forget it. Not liking it doesn't make it go away corey's numbers aren't the only thing that's true of
  20. didn't bill simmons write an article once basically saying he thought wade boggs wasn't that great because he walked all the time? I think he wrote something along the lines of "not a franchise player" because he was an OBP guy, not a run producer, but I can't remember fully. I guess that just begs the question of whether or not HRs/SLG are needed for a guy to be considered a franchise player. Ichiro doesn't really have them, but I would argue that Ichiro brings more to the table than did Boggs or Gwynn. ichiro might bring more different things to the table, but when it comes to the main course, boggs was showing up with filet mignon and ichiro's got a sirloin.
  21. if you throw up a 476 obp like boggs did in 1988, you'll be called whatever you like.
