  3. bobby cox is definitely not coming back to be our stupid bench coach
  4. an alarm just went off in SSR's mansion How are those bad contracts?? i think he's joking or referencing something
  5. i hope mccann ups the ante and blocks a freight train with his face
  6. partytime everyone post gifs
  7. browns, but if johnson is playing, you might find someone better than either on the waiver wire
  8. yeah, agreed completely. i don't care what the moron baseball writers have to say about anything else, so why would i care about their hall of fame? i'm sure it sucks for all this deserving guys who get left out, but they can console themselves with their solid gold houses and rocket cars.
  9. NEXT INNING walk double ibb k k hard lineout to center imma drop a can of paint of my foot now and see if i'm still capable of feeling
  10. The only merchandise sales a team makes that goes directly into their pockets is stuff sold in their team store, i.e. inside the stadium. Everything else is subject to revenue sharing, so other than more Asian people buying tickets, I can't see a whole lot of direct revenue impact for the team with the winning bid. One question first: Does the merchandising contract extend worldwide or is that only for US sales? Other point: the Mariners made extra money by selling TV rights to their games in Japan, iirc. As far as I know, yes, it applies world wide. Your other point is a good one that I had forgotten the Mariners took advantage of, but is Tanaka going to generate the kind of interest that would warrant additional TV money? maybe wgn will give us ninety bucks a game instead of the $87.50 they currently do.
  11. i left work early to watch the last hour and a half of the a's game. detroit takes the lead over the a's on a fan interference aided home run and a broken bat single. and all this is mere precursor to horrors that will reveal themselves wednesday and thursday when the cardinals and tigers clinch. I HATE BASEBALL
  12. yeah, as long as you're talking about schierholtz's numbers for the whole season. my initial answer to this question was going to be NO, but that was before i checked and noticed that nate schierholtz paid about as much attention to the cubs in september as i did, making his season totals more mediocre than i would have guessed.. 177/212/291 in 85 pa. woof.
  13. whatever happened to that tuel guy i wanted there to be an nfl qb named tuel
  14. don't bother rooting for the pirates to beat the cardinals, we all know that won't happen much better to just pile on the bandwagon of an AL team and then leave the country for their inevitable demise during the world series
  15. i don't understand how it could possibly be so difficult to get to the line and spike the ball there. no one should even have to look at cutler. ball caught in bounds = run to new line of scrimmage and wait for spike.
  16. i have to log out and log back in every other day to make it work now
  17. POINTS TO DA MF'IN SIG
  18. scherzer is soooooooooo good
  19. yes he deserves to die and i hope he burns in hell
  20. Depends if the closest Coinstar to Wrigley is open year-round #PoorTomRicketts placeholder to prevent ssr from deleting his doublepost so everyone can see how dumb he is
  21. Depends if the closest Coinstar to Wrigley is open year-round #PoorTomRicketts hardly anybody gives money to tom when he plays the sesame street song on his saxophone outside wrigley during the winter, so it's probably just during the season
  22. glad to see the yankees said no. hopefully we move on.
  23. is joe girardi really a beloved former cub? if so, why? also, i am realllllllly not interested in girardi if this is a marketing ploy. i can talk myself into any manager they hire if he's somebody that theo et al choose, but girardi is not such an interesting candidate on his face that i'm interested if he's not chosen by the actual smart people who are supposed to be running our team.
