1984 my grandpa died in November. He had a heart attack which I am positive came from the Cubs blowing the series. It was the first time I heard him swear in front of me. I was 6 then. My mom says he and I cried, him because the Cubs lost and she thought I cried because my grandpa cried. She should have know better. Didn't Will Clark hit a grand slam off of Maddux in '89? I remember someone hitting a homer off of him and I cried. I was 11 then. Oh, and I still hate Chris Sabo. 1998 I laughed my butt off, I knew we were one hit wonders that year. 2003 I cried, broke my toe kicking a wall, broke up with a girlfriend following game 7. 2007, I took all my Cubs stuff down in my 3rd bedroom and hung all my bears stuff up. I dug a hole in my backyard to put a bush there. Nothing like digging a hole to get your anger out. Yes, I feel the pain. No I dont want to mortgage the future for Roberts. But I do want Roberts in a Cubs uniform.

Agreed. How many dumb Hendry trade threads have there been. We should sticky a thread called "The GM Thread." That way Hendry and all future GM's can be criticized or praised in one, nice spot. That thread could easily reach 300 pages by July 31st.

This is awesome. I can't wait until he starts Hatteberg over Votto for this reason. And then after Dunn looks at too many third strikes, he'll replace him with Patterson, because while Patterson might strike out, he won't go down looking. Theriot and Fuld for Dunn. Sounds fair right? I dont care who plays short. Put EPatt there. Will it matter? -
Either way, I just dropped him a few notches in the fantasy drafts. Sounds painful.

I just heard from my sources that Roberts is going to the Expos now...Wow. Didn't see that one coming. Larry Walker, some guy named Pedro, a lanky lefty name Randy Johnson, and an OF (possibly Moises Alou) going to the Orioles. Take it with a grain of salt though.

Actually no. I hope its only a 3 for 1 deal now with the players said above. I wouldn't mind if Ceda was repalced with Veal, in fact I would like that deal much better. I am happy Murton isn't part of the rumors we are hearing anymore. I could live without Ceda and Cedeno. Gallagher will be missed, but like said earlier (I think Raw said it) we have to give up talent to get talent.

Update from my source: Cedeno just woke up and hasn't showered yet. He is clearly packing his bags instead. I think the trade is a done deal by the end of the day.

Not yet. The bears haven't done anything yet. why do the bears continue to condone mass shootings? Clearly they're classless. Guys, its not the Bears. Its The Chicago Bears presented by Chase... So clearly lay the blame on Chase! -
